Ramazan Relief Package: Govt To Offer Lower Prices On Food Items

According to the news, the federal government has chosen to offer 19 basic food items under the Ramadan Relief Package at costs lower than those found on the open market. Sources say the government will grant a subsidy of Rs4.99 billion for 19 necessities during Ramadan, down from the Rs8.28 billion package from the previous year by Rs3.28 billion. Moreover, it has been suggested to split the Ramadan package into targeted and untargeted subsidies. Those who have signed up for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) at Utility outlets will receive the subsidy.

The proposed package includes a Rs100 per kg subsidy for ghee and tea, Rs51.92 per kg subsidy for flour, and Rs30 subsidy for sugar, milk, and drinks. In the interim, it has been suggested to offer Rs. 50 per kg discount on dates and a Rs. 25 subsidies on oil.

Moreover, rice and lentils are set to receive Rs. 20 subsidies. However, people who are not Benazir Income Support Program beneficiaries will receive a subsidy of Rs27.12 per kilogram (BISP).

According to sources, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the federal cabinet will adopt the Ramadan alleviation package. Inflation measured by the consumer price index (CPI) was reported to have reached 31.5% on an annual basis in February 2023, up from 12.2% in February 2022 and 27.6% in the month before.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has reported that on a monthly basis, it grew to 4.3%.“CPI inflation General increased to 31.5% on a year-on-year basis in Feb 2023 as compared to an increase of 27.6% in the previous month and 12.2% in Feb 2022,” stated the PSB. The greatest YoY inflation rate since records began to be kept in July 1965 is 31.5%.

A 3D Visual Feast: “ALLAHYAR and the 100 Flowers of GOD”

Today in Lahore on March 1, 2023, a 3D animated movie titled ALLAHYAR and the 100 Flowers of GOD will be released on June 2, 2023. It is an action thriller with elements of science fiction, and adventure, and will be the first stereoscopic 3D film produced in Pakistan. The film is made by Islamabad’s 3rd World Studio.

The film is a continuation of ALLAHYAR and the Legend of Markhor, an acclaimed animated masterpiece that was first released in 2018.

The plot revolves around Allahyar, a little kid from the northern parts of Pakistan, and his closest buddy Hero (Chakor), who travel to a new world to save Allahyar’s father from a race of vicious robots that steal trees and timber. The movie discusses climate change, and clean renewable energy, and emphasizes the value of forests and trees for a more sustainable future. It also touches on other significant subjects including social injustice, inequality, and the importance of comradery and solidarity.

The film stars Ali Zafar, Ali Noor, Sanam Marvi, Bushra Ansari, and Grehen, the Band provides the vocals for this film, which also stars Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar, Iqra Aziz, Meera, Bushra Ansari, Nadia Jamil, Anum Zaidi, Azlan Uzair, and the amazing Azfar Jafri.

Why Did Shaan Shahid Reject The Legend Of Maula Jatt?

The Legend of Maula Jatt is a 2019 Pakistani action drama film, directed by Bilal Lashari and starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan as the male and female leads. The movie is a contemporary and modernized remake of the Pakistani classic Maula Jatt, which debuted in 1979 and achieved mass appeal there. In Pakistan’s rural Punjab province, two competing families battle for control and supremacy in The Tale of Maula Jatt. The movie was eagerly awaited and garnered favorable reviews from both reviewers and viewers for its captivating plot, striking cinematography, and strong performances. Fans of action and drama did not miss this important work in Pakistani cinema.

The film did not receive any major backlash and was loved by many. Recently Shaan Shahid, one of the very popular film actors in the Pakistani industry has found some flaws in The Legend Of Maula Jatt. The talented Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid is well known for his outstanding performances in the movies Bulandi, Nikah, Majajan, Khuda Kay Liey, and Waar.

In a recent interview with Mansoor Ali Khan for his podcast Mere Mehman, he discussed The Tale of Maula Jatt’s shortcomings. When asked about The Legend of Maula Jatt, he stated, “The new Maula Jatt was wonderful, all actors were good, they are doing a great job, they did great work, in the end, I just have one issue, there is nothing wrong in learning, one should learn, you are somebody struggling to get great from good, my basic concern was Punjabi dialect or accent which could have been better and I also believe that music is the main need of a film, music could have been added after taking rights of Maula Jutt’s music.”

Discussing getting an offer from Bilal Lashari, Shaan said, “They were offering me a different role and I felt that I would not be able to do justice to that role, first they called me to discuss the things and then they offered me the role of father of Maula Jatt, which I refused, I always question on the thing that if you won’t give a singer 5 minutes to perform then it’s not justice with that artist because she won’t be able to convince others about his craft”

Talking more about it, he said, “But I was up for any help, I’m a team player, I personally feel that Maula Jatt’s character could have been a better choice for me because I think I have earned the respect after playing or acing Punjabi characters, we have our different ways of doing performances, I mean Fawad has his own way and I have my way of seeing things.”  

In response to a question about Hamza Ali Abbasi’s portrayal of Noori Nath, he stated, “Usually, in movies, the hero kills the villain, but in The Legend of Maula Jatt, Hamza was being discussed after the movie’s completion, he was the one who was alive. Hamza Ali Abbasi picked the rhythm well, which Fawad couldn’t pick. Hamza did a good job, but in my opinion, the two characters might have worked better together because one was overpowering the other. For example, look at Raahi Sahab and Qureshi Sahab; they worked on their chemistry and did fantastic justice to their characters; they had harmony. They were both in a good rhythm.”

Redmi Launches 300W Charging That Charges Your Phone In 5 Minutes

Only four months after being the first brand to exceed the 200W mark, Redmi revealed 300W fast-charging technology. A phone can charge from zero to one hundred percent in under five minutes, according to a Xiaomi subsidiary, which later released a video with more information on the technology.

In a controlled setting, the company employed a customized Redmi Note 12 Discovery smartphone with a 4,100 mAh battery (the regular model has a dual 4,300 mAh cell). The device reached 50% in 2 minutes and 11 seconds, and the battery reached 100% in just under 5 minutes.

According to Redmi, the 300W charger can charge up to 10% in just 43 seconds, 50% in two minutes, and 100% in five minutes. The system uses a fully linked 300W fast-charging architecture that was self-developed.

It uses a modified 6:2 charge pump chip on the charging architecture of the original device, and the chip’s maximum conversion efficiency is as high as 98%. Although technology may soon be found in Redmi or Xiaomi smartphones, the 300W charging is not currently available in any official devices.

It was designed to resemble a village, with outdoor seating areas and a rustic ambiance that transported guests to a bygone era. They served a variety of Pakistani dishes. The restaurant was also known for its attentive service and friendly staff, who always made sure that guests felt welcome and comfortable. Unfortunately, Salt n Pepper Village closed down a few years ago, leaving its loyal customers with a sense of nostalgia for the restaurant’s delicious food and charming atmosphere.

BMW Is Now Using Fuel Cells From Toyota For Its Latest Car

BMW, the German carmaker, has announced the introduction of a test fleet of hydrogen vehicles, the iX5, which will utilize Toyota fuel cell technology. This is a big step forward in BMW’s attempts to extend its low-emission vehicle lineup and reach its goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050.

The iX5 will be powered by a fuel cell stack, which produces solely water vapor as a byproduct of the interaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Toyota will provide the fuel cell, which has been a pioneer in fuel cell technology and has already developed its own fuel cell car, the Mirai.

Partnering with Toyota 

BMW’s choice to collaborate with Toyota on fuel cell technology is a wise one, as it allows them to benefit from Toyota’s experience in this field while also lowering development costs and shortening the time to market. Here’s Why UAE Is Denying Visa Renewal To Some Pakistanis

According to the UAE consul general, many Pakistanis with work permits in the country are breaking Wadeema Law. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has decided to strictly enforce its regulations governing the acquisition of visas for Pakistanis under the age of 18 in an effort to protect children’s rights.

“A big number of Pakistanis who have work visas in the UAE are breaking Wadeema Law — Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 concerning child rights,” claimed UAE Consul General in Karachi Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi. The consul general claims that these rules specify children’s rights to education and that many Pakistanis deny those rights by forcing their kids to stay home and study. “The government has made tough decisions in this regard at an important meeting in the past,” he said, adding that the rules regarding the rights of children with families living in the UAE must be strictly enforced.

The Emirati representative emphasized the value of education for kids. The UAE government has made the decision to punish parents who disobey child protection rules. Wadeema rule only applies to Pakistanis with valid work or residency visas, he declared. Al-Remeithi also asked Pakistani parents living abroad in the UAE to support their kids’ education and defend their rights, including those pertaining to their health and freedoms.

Resources were also informed by the consul general that there are 16–17 million Pakistanis living in the UAE. He warned the media outlet that those who break the law risk being expelled from the UAE and disclosed the limitations put in place for the issuance of new visas. “In the future, visas will be granted to Pakistanis who will assure full implementation of Wadeema law,” he stated. 

Al-Remeithi stated that there is no such restriction on Pakistani nationals applying for a visit visa in response to the question of whether the law applies to other Pakistanis. The envoy made it clear that Pakistan is free to visit the UAE on a tourist visa and that the UAE government would welcome their arrival.
