Baaghi Drama on Urdu1: Osman Khalid Butt Makes a Grand Entrance!

The stellar drama, Baaghi, continues to create enthusiasm and excitement amongst the audience as Kanwal Baloch, played by the striking Saba Qamar, she strives to rebel against the social media chaos created by Salman Ali who took advantage of Kanwal’s clip just to increase his show’s rating.

The episode opens up to Kanwal calling her family for the first time after she fled from her village. Upon inquiring, she gets to know from her sister that her family is facing a tough time ever since she has left, to which Kanwal promises that she will send money to support her family.

Despite Rehan telling Kanwal to not send money to her family as she hardly manages her own expenses, the head-strong girl decides to money-order Rs. 15,000 to them.

On the contrary, Abid is having a fancy time with another girl. Upon giving less monthly expense to his mother, Ruby exposes her husband’s affair with other women on whom he spends enormous amounts and woos them by giving free goods.

Coming back to Ms. Baloch, she continues posting her videos and “Girl power” statuses on her social media page. A number of people support her while, simultaneously, a large number of people backlashed her, but this did not stop the insurge.

Saba stole the show with her dialogue,

“agar zindagi main khush rehna hai to khud-gharz aur munaafik ho jao”

The story takes a new exhilarating turn when Kanwal reaches the post-office and is filling a form, and accidentally leaves the envelope containing money in a register on the inquiry counter.  The “angel-dressed-as-a-man”, Shehryaar, played by the da[[er Osman Khalid Butt, comes to the rescue where he pitches in his own money for Kanwal.

While the unfortunate star was working hard to find a grade A opportunity to start her modeling career, her lucky strikes when a businessman watches her bizarre singing audition and calls Gohar to appoint Kanwal as a model for an international brand based in Dubai.

Towards the end of the episode, we witness Shehryaar’s mom speaking words of sympathy for Kanwal over her audition’s video. Upon watching the video, he starts pondering upon the whole situation and starts wondering if Kanwal is actually innocent or all of it was a publicity stunt.

In the end, Kanwal again posts a video on social media and gives “An open challenge” to the judges of the reality show that she will prove them wrong and will show everyone that she can sing really well.

The ups and down and switching between various emotions were quite evident during the episode. No doubt, Saba has been a crowd-puller throughout the drama and has awed the viewers with her super-real acting and jaw-dropping dialogues.

To see what else happened during the episode, watch Baaghi here:

Here’s How You Can Survive A Cobra Bite

Here's How You Can Survive A Cobra Bite

Cobras may be found throughout a large portion of Africa, the Middle East, India, and the remainder of South Asia. They go on from there into Southeast Asia and Indonesia. They might come into contact with billions of individuals as a result.

Cobras often release a neurotoxin that can paralyze the heart and lungs and interfere with nerve signals. This is distinct from the behavior of many vipers, such as rattlesnakes. The hemotoxic they often possess targets the blood vessels, resulting in bleeding and tissue damage.

The bright side

Don’t assume cobras are hostile despite the large incidence of fatalities and envenomings (bite-related venom ingestions). When trapped and startled, cobras put on a theatrical display, rising up, expanding a hood, and hissing loudly, but Whitaker explained that this was just out of fear rather than violence. The snake merely requests solitude.

Cobras don’t like to bite people, according to Kim Gray, curator of herpetology and ichthyology at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. The snake needs venom since it consumes entire foods and lacks limbs to aid in the digestive process. Venom is vital to the snake and is used to paralyze prey and start the digesting process. In order to avoid wasting its venom, it avoids indiscriminately biting and envenoming as many people as it can.

What are your chances of getting bitten

According to Brandehoff, the vast majority of cobra bites occur to agricultural workers in fields and other locals, who are frequently low-income individuals who live in homes with easy access and who sleep on the floor.

What to do if you encounter a cobra

The experts all agree: Don’t bother the snake.

Gray advised moving cautiously and quietly away from the snake while, if possible, keeping an eye on its whereabouts. If you’re outside, move to a space that’s open and clear of bushes and rock outcrops. She insisted that you shouldn’t use a broom, a shovel, or anything else to attempt and subdue, catch, or kill it.

What to do if it bites you

Cobra bites are a really severe matter. They do not, however, constitute a death sentence.

The majority of snakebites, including cobra bites, are not lethal. said Whitaker. But every snake bite requires emergency medical attention. The most crucial action is to get to a hospital as soon as possible. There is only one treatment for a snake bite, and that is anti-venom, therefore do not turn to any traditional or home remedies.

In order to prevent more injury, Gray advised that you immobilize the biting limb, proceed to the nearest hospital without delay, and make a record of where the bite happened and the time it occurred.

If it is safe to do so, take a description or a picture of the snake as well. This may facilitate medical therapy.

People may suggest a crepe wrap if the cobra that bit you only has neurotoxic venom since this can assist prevent the transmission of the poison from one limb to the rest of the body.

A wrap may also do more damage than help if the venom has hemotoxic characteristics since it may hurt the tissue surrounding the bite.

The Curtain Comes Down on the Third Karachi Biennale – Pakistan’s Biggest Exhibition showcasing the intersection of art and technology

After giving the city of Karachi and its people a visual and sensory treat for two weeks, the Karachi Biennale (KB22) finally closed on November 13. Its official closing ceremony was held here earlier today at NED University, City Campus, one of the nine venues where the Biennale was held and was attended by participating artists, supporters, partners, media and cultural change-makers.

Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Anwar, Hybrid Artist and Curator Karachi Biennale 22, said, “Karachi Biennale 22 ‘s journey was full of joy with passion and hard work. It has been a point of reflection in the city of Karachi in the 75th year of Pakistan, amidst global contemporary art movements. I am sure that Collective Imagination, Now and the Next, has set up new directions in artistic expression, interdisciplinary collaborations, audience engagement and standards in presentations. I look forward to the new exciting, and emerging hybrid art forms that will continue to evolve in the years to come in Pakistan.”

Niilofur Farrukh Managing Trustee, Karachi Biennale Trust said, “We are delighted that the Karachi Biennale was so enthusiastically received by public audiences, particularly the youth. For two weeks people searched for art all over Karachi, from heritage sites to galleries and in the process discovered fragments of Karachi’s history.

Art, made immersive and exciting with augmented reality, virtual reality, sonic and wearable art, was a source of wonder and opened new conversations about creative possibilities. Linked to Pakistan’s 75 year celebrations, Karachi Biennale highlighted the works of major artists like Ali Imam, Zahoorul Akhlaq and Shazia Sikander in its keynote talks and introduced them to the younger generation”.

It may be noted that the theme of this year’s city-wide art event was Collective Imagination: Now and the Next. Curated by Faisal Anwar, it brought together hybrid artists from Pakistan and 13 other countries and enabled them to extend the boundaries of technology as a medium of art. The theme attracted students and young professionals in large numbers to the nine venues across the city. The third biennale’s goal was to connect the people to their city and help lead it to the future – a future where virtual reality, augmented reality and other immersive, sensory experiences are used to convey the most important messages, from environmental protection to equality and inclusion.

There was much excitement as everyone waited for the two Art Prizes – KB22 Shahneela and Farhan Faruqui Popular Choice Award and KB22 Langdon-Malik Foundation Performance Art Prize – to be announced as the competition had been stiff and everyone wanted to know which two had eventually won. The winners for the Performance Award was Cosmic Tribe. The commissioned artist for the bespoke trophy was Affan Baghpati.

Popular Choice Award went to Syeda Sheeza Ali. The commissioned artist for the bespoke trophy was Nabahat Lotia.

Befitting the enthralling work displayed in KB22 the grand finale brought the Biennale to a close on a high note with an enthralling performative work with the Rubab and Chitrali Sitar by KCR, and scrumptious street food.

Here’s What Apple Is Planning For Its Mixed-Reality Headset

Recent job postings by Apple revealed details about its future mixed-reality headset. Additionally, AirDrop is restricted in China, the corporation is having trouble hiring a new design leader, and Covid lockdowns reduce iPhone sales. Apple also brings on a new CIO. Last week in Power On, Apple announced intentions to replace “Hey Siri” with the simple term “Siri.”

What we know

Next year will see the release of Apple Inc.’s next significant product, a mixed-reality headgear that the corporation thinks will catapult it into a new computer era. However, the company’s job postings and employee changes provide a sneak peek at some of the device’s capabilities.

Here’s what we already knew: Since this is a premium product with a Mac-level M2 chip, more than 10 cameras will be placed both inside and outside the headset, and it will have the highest-resolution displays ever included in a mass-market headset, the headset itself is probably going to cost between $2,000 and $3,000.

Additionally, we are aware that realityOS, a brand-new operating system for the device, will support mixed reality versions of popular Apple programs like Messages, FaceTime, and Maps. Internal work on the first iteration of the OS, code-named Oak, is coming to a close; it should be prepared for the new hardware by the end of the current year.

Apple’s job postings

Thanks to recent Apple job postings and changes to the Technology Development Group, or TDG, team that created the next headgear, we are now learning more information.

According to a few job postings, Apple is stepping up efforts to reinforce the gadget with content. The organization is looking for a software producer that has knowledge of gaming asset pipelines, visual effects, and the creation of digital material for augmented- and virtual reality settings.

In addition, Apple is searching for engineers to work on the creation of development tools for augmented and virtual reality. Unsurprisingly, it seems that the business wants its upcoming operating system to include App Intents, which let apps to interact with features like Siri and Shortcuts.

The best brains behind the product

Apple’s design staff is losing talent, making it more difficult to choose its next Jony Ive. The company’s design team, under top scientist and innovator Jony Ive, came up with new items and decided on the style and feel of its gadgets. But that core group began to disintegrate at the same time that Ive begun to distance himself from Apple. Ive’s team has lost at least 15 people since the introduction of the Apple Watch due to excessive drainage and pressure, leaving only a few of the original staff.

The former chief information officer of Facebook is now Apple’s CIO. Both of Apple’s top two IS&T (Information System and Technology) executives are departing. That created a large hole. Even while this section of Apple may not be the most fascinating, it is one of the most important, managing the back-end infrastructure that enables workers, clients, and suppliers to connect and maintains services like the online store.

Financial Mistakes That Can Cost You In The Long Run

Financial Mistakes That Can Cost You In The Long Run

Don’t be shocked if you make some of your worst financial blunders in your teens and twenties since making financial decisions is a skill that you become better at over time. Even the timidest person may learn the skills necessary to manage their finances well. It all boils down to developing wise financial practices that, over time, should (ideally), result in a sizable savings cushion in your bank account. But in order to get there, you must be aware of the most frequent financial blunders and how to prevent them in order to avoid failing at the first obstacle.

The most typical monetary errors and how to correct them are listed below:

  1. Not having a monthly budget

Unbudgeted spending is a relatively common financial blunder. Often, it’s the small, invisible indulgences that drain our bank accounts. These can include paying for an expensive gym membership, going out a lot, or taking unneeded cab journeys (although this discount code or this one can help). On occasion, these purchases may be acceptable. However, there becomes a problem when they start to become a habit and don’t fit into your monthly budget.

  1. Not earning money in your free time

It’s crucial to choose a side hustle that you can do in your spare time, and not simply for your cash account. Having a little extra money might help you get closer to your long-term financial objectives. It’s also a technique to make sure you have the extra money to reward yourself when you want to.

  1. Running up a credit card bill that you can’t pay off

A one-way trip to financial bankruptcy is using your credit card as “free money” rather than merely using what you have. If you have a credit card, use it the same way you would a debit card.

  1. Not negotiating your salary when you are starting a job

Not negotiating your wage before beginning a new job is another costly error. For two reasons, pay negotiations are crucial. First and foremost, you need to make sure you have enough cash on hand to pay for necessities like food and rent right away. Second, discussing your pay establishes the tone for your interaction with your employer. You are undervaluing your labor and encouraging your employer to do the same if you enter the negotiation with an extremely low amount.

  1. Not having an emergency fund

Image Source: Let’s Be Game Changers

There must be an emergency fund. Without one, you can find yourself turning to temporary fixes that you’ll regret in a few years. This money needs to be sufficient to cover any shortfalls, such as tardy student loan payments or unexpected phone failures necessitating the purchase of a new phone.

  1. Having unrealistic financial goals

It’s challenging to predict your exact position in 10 years. But it’s important to think about some of your long-term objectives. Do you intend to purchase a home? Would you like to launch a business? Do you intend to travel extensively? All of these fantastical concepts have one thing in common: they call for careful financial planning.

Road Rage In Pakistan & Why It Needs To End

One of the main issues in Pakistan is road rage. A subject that many Pakistanis avoid discussing. We’ve always questioned why this isn’t discussed or why no one has ever thought to stop it or taken any action.

Lack of authoritative support

In Pakistan, the lack of authoritative support and the absence of justice has caused these road rage incidents to increase exponentially. No one is worried about the consequences hence there is mayhem in the cities. While many government registered cars drive like they own the roads, many rickshaws and bikes suddenly find out that they have extra lives while on the road. In Pakistan, we don’t drive our cars but we protect them while driving.

The menace that road rage cause

These incidents not just cause unnecessary fuss and violence but often results in the weak and innocent ones succumbing to the overwhelming chaos. It is especially important to point out that the problem is bigger than it seems. The frustration of Pakistanis due to the uncountable issues any citizen is facing on a given day results in them pouring out their emotions on the road. While this is no excuse, it really is the sad reality we all are facing.

Law enforcement authorities need to take strict steps to ensure safety and peace among the citizens. Installation of honest and effective traffic police troops needs to be done in order to prevent such incidents from occurring. The problem is graver since these traffic police troops do not have enough authority to actually carry out what needs to be done and also due to the pressure they have to face from the upper end of the food chain when someone uses their so-called “source”.

With that being said, it is highly unlikely to stop road raging while it is happening. We all have witnessed cars pacing right by us and racing on open roads which usually do not end well. This goes in circles since this disrupts the natural flow of traffic and causes accidents which then again, aggravates the issue.

What can we do

This problem can not be treated overnight. Traffic education is key in dealing with this problem which requires constant reinforcement. In addition to that, CCTV cameras need to be placed at every corner to track down the culprits since strict consequences are the only effective and fastest method that works for us. Implementation of traffic rules has been an issue forever and this might not change suddenly but some steps need to be taken. The laws are present but the implementation and the effectiveness they require are nowhere to be seen.

While this is true for all laws in Pakistan, it is high time things change since we deserve better. The last thing any of us want is to get in an altercation on the road with some random drunk driver or a frustrated uncle. We need to understand that while we rely on our authorities, it is time we change ourselves for no one but us to ensure a safe and peaceful environment.

What Is Mastodon And Why Are People Leaving Twitter For It?

What Is Mastodon And Why Are People Leaving Twitter For It?

Users are looking for an alternative to Twitter in case Elon Musk’s takeover spells the end of that website as we know it, which has sparked a new surge in interest in the open-source social media platform known as Mastodon. What you need to know if you’re considering jumping ship from the sinking ship of Twitter to the potential life raft of Mastodon.

The Fediverse

The first concept to grasp is that Mastodon is a “federated” network, i.e., a platform called the “Fediverse” that connects hundreds of social networks that are hosted on servers all over the world and connected by a common technology called Mastodon.

You register for a particular server, which is managed by the person who put it up, typically volunteers who operate it on their own dime or who accept Patreon payments. They will have their own set of regulations and guidelines regarding, for instance, who may participate and how closely the discourse will be regulated.

Different usernames

You may start after selecting a username and setting up your account with a header image and profile photo. Your username on Mastodon will be @[username]@[the Mastodon instance you registered to], unlike Twitter. You may be @MuskyElon@aus.social, for instance. Consider it similar to an email address where the first part is your preferred identity and the second part is the company that manages your inbox.

Making finding usernames easier

Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple method to find all the individuals you follow on Twitter on Mastodon. You may start looking for people you know or return to Twitter to check if they’ve made their relocation public. You may log in to services like Twitodon using both your Twitter and Mastodon accounts and search for persons you follow. However, it can only locate users who have previously used Twitodon.

Posting just got better

You might have to get used to your articles being referred to as “toots” rather than “tweets” as a starting point. On the bright side, you’ll get an additional feature called click spoiler warnings for both text and photos and nearly twice as many characters (500) to create a post. Similar to a direct message, you will have more control over who may view your post, from everyone on the server to only the people you specifically specify in the post.

Verification is easier and free

On Twitter, there has been a lot of controversy about Musk’s decision to charge users for identity verification while not really validating their claims. Everyone who owns a website can use the verification mechanism on Mastodon.

If you connect to a webpage that you manage on your profile, it might identify you as the site’s owner, giving followers some cause to believe that you are who you say you are.

Best Xbox Series X Games To Look Forward To In 2022-2023

Gamers all across the world can now enjoy sharper resolution, faster frame rates, and ray tracing thanks to the Xbox Series X and Series S, which have been available for more than a year. These next Xbox Series X games aim to keep showcasing all those bells and whistles in entertaining, brand-new experiences.

If you’re curious about the games Microsoft has confirmed thus far, including brand-new releases, sequels to current franchises, and ports of old games, read on. We’re considering all the fantastic titles coming to this potent new gaming hardware in this article, going beyond the first-party endeavors.

  1. Sonic Frontier – November 9th 2022

Sonic’s upcoming 3D adventure, Sonic Frontiers, will take place in an open environment, but don’t immediately call it a Breath of the Wild imitation. Considering his history in 3D games, the swift blue hedgehog seems like a logical match for this, but we are still only cautiously enthusiastic.

  1. The Calisto Protocol – December 2nd 2022

The Callisto Protocol, the spiritual descendant of the original Dead Space crew, is giving them an advantage over the competition before the Dead Space remake debuts. With a fresh narrative set in the year 2320 on the same-named moon of Jupiter, this third-person survival horror game promises to be as harsh as the series it was modeled after. In this game, you are besieged by unsettling monsters within the Black Iron Prison.

  1. Marvel’s midnight suns – December 2nd 2022

With a co-operation no one anticipated, the Marvel train keeps rolling. With the rather specialized Midnight Suns, Firaxis, the developers of the phenomenally successful XCOM and XCOM 2 remakes, is attempting to get the Marvel license. This game will be less harsh than their previous entries in that genre by taking inspiration from their tactical, turn-based games.

  1. Dead space – January 27th 2023

The Dead Space reboot is starting the year with this impressive-looking title whether The Callisto Protocol isn’t your thing or you simply can’t get enough third-person, sci-fi survival horror. The developers of this game completely overhauled the original horror game while leaving the fundamental structure and mechanics unaltered.

  1. Hogwart’s Legacy – February 10th 2023

The long-rumored Harry Potter open-world game is now available, and it has a name. Obviously, Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the Harry Potter universe, but new developer Portkey Games seems to be rewriting the narrative. Hogwarts Legacy is coming on Series X despite though it was revealed during Sony’s September PS5 event.

  1. Redfall – Q2 2023

New and engaging gameplay mechanics are featured in Arkane Austin’s most recent game. This will be a co-op-focused shooter with an open-world setting called Redfall where players are let wild on an island overrun with vampires. You are continuously in danger as a human since the sun has been shut out, creating a situation identical to that of 30 Days of Night.

  1. Suicide Squad – Kill The Justice League –TBD 2023

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady’s current project; Gotham Knights is on hold while it is being developed. One of the few definite next-generation exclusives, it will finally appear on Series X in the early 2023 time frame following multiple delays. Although we don’t know much about the game yet, we do know that it is set in an open-world Metropolis and takes place in the Batman: Arkham universe.

Why Do Mosquitoes Bite You More? Here’s Why!

Why Do Mosquitoes Bite You More? Here's Why!

According to recent studies, some people truly are “mosquito magnets” and it probably has to do with how they smell. According to American researchers, those who are most appealing to mosquitoes create a lot of certain compounds on their skin, which are linked to scent and render them tempting to the bloodsuckers. According to research author Leslie Vosshall, a neurobiologist at Rockefeller University in New York, if you have high amounts of this substance on your skin, you’ll be the one at the picnic getting all the bites.

The mosquito magnet test

There is a lot of superstition about who gets bitten more, but she claimed that many of the stories aren’t supported by substantial evidence. According to study author Maria Elena De Obaldia, the researchers devised an experiment that pitted people’s odors against one another to order to evaluate mosquito magnetism.

Their research was released in the journal Cell on Tuesday. 64 participants from the university and the neighborhood were instructed to wear nylon stockings around their forearms so the researchers could smell their skin. Numerous mosquitoes were released after placing the stockings in different traps at the end of a long tube. They would essentially flock to the most alluring themes, according to De Obaldia. “It immediately became quite clear.”

In a round-robin competition, scientists discovered a startling disparity: the largest mosquito magnet was around 100 times more alluring to mosquitoes than the loser. The Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits illnesses including dengue, Zika, and yellow fever, was employed in the experiment.

The study demonstrated that these significant differences endure by assessing the same subjects over an extended period of time, according to Matt DeGennaro, a neuro-geneticist at Florida International University who was not involved in the study. DeGennaro observed that “mosquito magnets tend to stay mosquito magnets.”

Nevertheless, scientists concluded that it might be challenging to come up with mosquito repellent strategies since the insects have transformed into “lean, mean biting machines.” This was demonstrated by the study, which showed that the identical mosquito magnets attracted the same numbers of insects even when the researchers used mosquitoes whose genes had been altered to impair their sense of smell.

Mosquitoes are tough, according to Vosshall. They can track us down and bite us because they have a lot of backup plans.

Why You Should Stop Washing Your Hair Every Day

While keeping up with your hair game requires a lot of maintenance and effort – you certainly don’t need to wash your hair every day. While you might be tempted to get rid of the itchy and flaky scalp every second day, the solution doesn’t lie in washing your hair every day. Then how often you should wash your hair? This question has existed for as long as we can remember and despite getting introduced to high-quality products and dry shampoos maintaining your hair wash routine has been the most discussed topic.

Hair Wash & Hair Care

Hair care is synonymous with hair washing but most often our hair washing technique and routine is the one doing more harm than good. How often you should wash your hair depends on a lot of factors. However, it narrows down to the type of hair you have.

“Some people just think that they have to wash their hair every day or they’re going to get very greasy hair,” said Dr. Anthony Rossi, an assistant attending dermatologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology Association. “If they give themselves a chance, they may see that they don’t have that greasy scalp or hair. And on the other hand, they may not be able to tolerate going too long or too infrequently because they feel that their scalp becomes very greasy.”

It all comes down to finding the right balance for your hair. People who have oily scalps might need to wash their hair every second day. However, those with chemically treated and bleached hair tend to have dry hair. Hence, they need to maintain the balance of natural oils in the hair requiring hair wash only once a week. For people with curly hair, experts suggest washing it no more than once a week.

The damage caused by over-shampooing your hair can be detrimental to your hair growth. The surfactants present in the shampoo tend to leave your hair stripped of important oils. These oils are essential to maintain the hair shaft. Using shampoo too often can remove these oils and leave the scalp and hair dry.

How To Know If You Are Washing Hair Too Often

It might be difficult to assess, however, the telltale signs of washing hair too often can include a dry itchy scalp and brittle hair. Hair breakage is also most commonly observed if you are washing your hair more often than recommended. Changing season is another factor that has to be kept in mind while rethinking your hair-wash routine. With colder weather, the scalps tend to get drier as compared to the summers requiring less washing.

While the feeling of a squeaky clean scalp cannot be replaced, it is best to maintain a hair care routine that requires less washing. Adding serums and dry shampoos to your hair care routine between washes can help ensure your scalp remain healthy and doesn’t have to bear the burden of over-shampooing.
