This means you, as an iOS user and channel admin, can now easily forward messages, images, videos, and GIFs from any channel directly to your own.

Open the preferred channel: Go to the channel where you want to share some stuff that you found with your own audience.
Locate the message that has to be forwarded: Find the exact text, image, video, or GIF that you wish to post to your channel.
Press and hold!: Press and hold the message to bring up the well-known pop-up menu.
Magic in the forward direction!: Search the menu for the newly added “Forward” option. When you choose this option, a list of all your channels will appear.
Select your location: Just choose the channel on which to distribute the stuff that has been forwarded.
Press Send!: After selecting the desired channel, simply click “Send” to proceed. If the message wasn’t originally yours, it will be delivered to your channel without any problems.

Pakistan, 08 July, 2024 – In its continuous effort to foster a secure and positive online environment, TikTok has unveiled its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the first quarter of 2024. This release highlights TikTok’s unwavering commitment to transparency, safety, and inclusivity, reflecting its dedication to building trust and ensuring a safe platform for its global community.

During the January-March period of 2024, TikTok’s proactive measures led to the removal of 166,997,307 videos worldwide, representing about 0.9% of all videos uploaded on the platform. A substantial portion of these, 129,335,793 videos, were identified and removed through automated detection technologies, while 6,042,287 videos were reinstated upon further review.

In a bid to enhance transparency, TikTok has now disclosed the number of comments removed and filtered by our comment safety tools for the first time. TikTok has removed and filtered 976,479,946 comments using comment safety tools during this three-month period.

In Pakistan alone, the platform took action against 20,207,878 videos for breaching its Community Guidelines in the first quarter, underscoring its resolve to combat violations effectively. Moreover, TikTok aggressively pursued spam accounts and related content, implementing robust measures to prevent the proliferation of automated spam accounts.

Notably, approximately 93.9% of videos that violated the guidelines were removed within 24 hours of posting, and the proactive removal rate for the quarter stood impressively at 99.8% globally. In a global effort to safeguard younger users, TikTok also deleted 21,639,414 accounts suspected of belonging to individuals under the age of 13.

TikTok’s Community Guidelines are meticulously crafted to cultivate an environment that is safe, inclusive, and authentic for all users, without exceptions. The guidelines are enforced uniformly across all content and users, with TikTok striving for consistency and fairness in its enforcement actions.

Japanese researchers have shattered the internet speed record, achieving a download rate of 402 Terabits per second (Tbps). This milestone surpasses their previous record of 321 Tbps set last year. At 402,000,000 Megabits per second (Mbps), this speed makes typical home internet connections seem like a rounding error. For context, it could download all 18+ GB of Elden Ring, or even an entire Steam library, in less than a millisecond.

The Technology Behind the Speed

The team used widely available fiber optic cables to reach this new record. They developed new technologies, including “the world’s first O to U-band transmission system capable of DWDM transmission in a commercially available standard optical fiber achieved with custom-designed amplifier technology.” This innovation allows data signals to be better amplified, fully utilizing the capabilities of fiber optic cabling.

Who Achieved This Feat?

An international team led by researchers from the Photonic Network Laboratory at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Tokyo, Japan, conducted this work. They managed to combine six doped-fiber amplifier variants with lumped and distributed Raman amplification. This combination covered all the low-loss transmission bands of silica fibers, achieving a record-breaking 37.6 Terahertz (THz) of bandwidth across 50 km of fiber optic cabling.

While this achievement is groundbreaking, it’s unlikely we’ll see such speeds at home anytime soon. Current hardware can’t handle that much data that fast. Even the best gaming PCs can’t write data at such speeds. Despite this, the research is crucial. It shows the potential of current technology and paves the way for future advancements.

The real significance lies in the new transmission system developed by the researchers. This system pushes data through fiber optic cables faster than ever before. A hallmark of humanity and a charitable crusader Pakistan’s prominent philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi runs the nation’s most revered social organization and charity center, “The Edhi Foundation.” No one can doubt the tenacity of Edhi’s spirit to help fellow beings.

Down-to-earth, humble, and dedicated to the cause, the contributions of the social entrepreneur for the country and beyond are uncountable. With his iconic long beard, plain kurta pajama, and the signature Jinnah cap, he is titled as the Santa Clause of the East and a universal representative of human rights.

The journey of building the largest ambulance service started 60 years back in Karachi when Edhi Sahab begged for humanity, turned a Hilma pick-up truck into an ambulance, and saved countless lives in it.

Over the years, he has built a sanctuary for the abused, unwanted, homeless, and needy. Even hungry animals are not turned away at Edhi Foundation.

The philanthropist, along with his wife, wandered city’s street to collect abandoned infants and have provided shelter to more than 35,000 discarded babies to date.

Even the robbers who looted an office at Edhi Foundation in 2014 returned him the money, being guilt-stricken for stealing Pakistan’s most nobleman.

The living saint has extended the warmth of Pakistani hospitality globally via Edhi Foundation, spreading its roots as far as the USA, England, Japan, UAE, Canada, and Australia.

For him,” No Religion is Higher than Humanity.” When asked by religious radicals that why he even picks up Christians and Hindus in his ambulance, Edhi Sahab replied, “My ambulance is more Musalmaan than yours.”

There hasn’t been a single global crisis to which Edhi has not extended his support. Be it the 1985 famine in Ethiopia or the Gulf War 1991; his relief team has reached every corner of the earth.

Fearless as a lion, he went to Beirut, Lebanon, in 2006 and set up a camp to help the refugees of the appalling war. “I knew I would have to be in Lebanon,” Edhi told Arab News in 2006. “I just can’t sit back and watch humanity suffer. I am not made that way. I have been engaged in this kind of social work for the last six decades. I am 82 now. Allah has always helped me.”

When New Orleans, USA, was hit by the hurricane Katrina in 2005, Edhi rose to their aid and denoted $100,000 for the victims of the natural tragedy.

Even, the Bengalis found a friend in Edhi when he raised $200,000 for the affectees of the Bangladesh cyclone, 2007.

Sitting in his wheelchair, he led a peace rally from Karachi’s Bolton Market to Mazar-e-Quaid in protest of Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza Strip.

Ever- ready to serve humanity, his concerns were low about his deteriorating health and more for Karachi’s heatwave victims as he raised funds for them under the scorching sun.

13. When selected for the Nobel Peace Laureate, the modest humanitarian claimed he was not worthy of so much honor as he is nothing but a mere “Faqeer.”

Despite leading the world’s largest fleet of ambulances, Edhi humbly lives in a two-bedroom apartment, owns two pairs of clothes, and loves the simple combo of roti and achaar.

Time and time again, Edhi teaches us that the world can be a happy place if we come together to make it one. While he rose above all differences and embraced all of humanity in his haven, we sincerely can never thank the honorable saint enough for his efforts.
