These Posts By Pakistani Brands Have Left Netizens Laughing

Promoting your products on the digital medium has become the need of the time. Pakistani brands are actively using the medium, given its popularity amongst the target market. This is why you will see a number of digital-focused ad agencies because brands need professional help to craft digital marketing campaigns. But shouldn’t the first rule of marketing, digital or otherwise, be that the content is consumable?

As it turns out, not so much for these brands, whoever they are getting their copy written from.

Pakistani brands and their digital campaigns

Screenshots of a few brand’s campaigns went viral a few days ago, and people were utterly shocked. These brands included Ethnic By Outfitters, Crimson, and Limelight. While the posts for the first two are still available, it seems that Limelight has removed the post amidst backlash.

https://www.facebook.com/EthnicbyOutfitters/posts/4098406436888993

Here is a look at the Limelight post:

pakistani brands Image Source: Facebook

The caption that accompanies the post, commonly known as ‘copy,’ is full of complicated wording that an ordinary Pakistani would not use in their day-to-day lives.

These phrases included:

“Dusky skin shines like gold.”

“Demeanour composed her style sophisticated.”

“Class apart, beauty & poise personified in elegant ensembles with intricate embroideries and artisanal embellishments.”

“Revolutionary in thought, conventional in manner…”

“Enliven your westerly wardrobe.”

“Outrageous occidental look.”

“Meticulous regalia.”

If you haven’t yet picked up a dictionary, well then, this campaign may have been drafted just for you. Otherwise, people all over social media were in fits of confused laughter.

Netizens react

People had a number of opinions relating to this. While some thought that bots had been employed to come up with the copy, others assumed it to have been plagiarized from novels. Some even joked that they’d need a dictionary before forming an opinion which was a strong opinion itself.

There was another speculation, and looking at the copy, it does make sense. What if it is the same copywriter who came up with them because the style does seem similar.

All that said, if the goal; of the brands was to capture attention, they certainly succeeded at it.

What do you think about these campaigns? Do you agree with the comments, or did you like the captions?

Indian Policeman Recites ‘Bhar De Jholi’ By Sabri Brothers

Desperate times call for desperate prayers and requests by Indian policemen. The increase in the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 has taken a massive plunge in India. As hospitals in Delhi and other cities of India run out of beds and oxygen supply.

The prices of medicines and essential supplies have skyrocketed. As a result, people are inclined to turn to the black market to get medicines and oxygen cylinders in a hefty amount.

Indian Policemen Recites 'Bhar De Jholi' By Sabri Brothers

The labs are overrun, which results in covid reports coming back 3 days later at the earliest, which puts the patients at risk. Several sick patients can not found a bed because they do not have the report to confirm the diagnosis. Last week, India marked a grim milestone in the Covid-19 pandemic on Thursday. The number of reported new cases was 314,835, the highest one-day tally anywhere.

Indian Policemen Ask For Prayers

The healthcare system in India is collapsed, and the views are heartbreaking. Mass cremations, patients waiting on the roadside waiting to get admission in the hospital. The double mutant of the virus has hit India in the second wave so badly that they now resort to prayers and ask their Muslim citizens to do the same. Last week, a video went viral of an Indian police officer where he is seen requesting fellow Muslim citizens to pray for their country.

The Recent Video

Another video has recently gone viral where we can see an Indian police officer reciting the famous qawwali Bhar Do Jholi by none other than the Sabri brothers. The qawwali was originally written by Poornam Allahabadi, born in 1940 in Allahabad, British India. The Sabri brothers were struggling qawwals back then.

Then they met the writer over a cup of tea and the rest is history. As they say, art has no boundaries. This expression of the policemen shows the importance of how we should step aside from the religious differences in these trying times.

This telling tale of Poornam Allahabadi is a testimony to the sayings of Mevlana Rumi. Which means ‘Get rid of I in Me and keep creating masterpieces.’

Apple To Face Lawsuit For Marketing iPhone As ‘Waterproof’

Apple

Apple claims some of its products to be waterproof which means that were they to interact with water, they would remain operational. But as it turns out when you do bring it in contact with water, it stops working and Apple takes no responsibility for it. This is why the tech giant is facing a lawsuit.

Water-resistant – IP Rating

The higher the IP rating the more water-resistant a product is. And Apple takes pride in claiming its products to have higher IP ratings i.e. more water-resistant. iPhone 8, to be specific, claims to have an IP rating of 67. Hence, with this rating, the company claims that the user can take the iPhone to any water-infested area be it the water tank for the house, or a vacation at the beach. While encouraging users to take the iPhone to these places, if the iPhone was to malfunction due to water, Apple would not entertain it.

Apple iPhone and a shortage

How would they know that the malfunction happened because of water? It’s simple. There is an indicator that becomes red on interaction with water. So when the customer takes it to the Apple outlet, they will point blank refuse to take it for warranty coverage after seeing the red indicator because the company does not compensate for water-related problems.

Lawsuit against Apple

An exasperated Antoinette Smith took this issue to court on the basis of Apple overstating iPhone’s water-resisting capabilities. The lawsuit mentions that IP rating is ‘insufficiently qualified by fine print disclaimers.’ This was after an incident with her iPhone 8. Her phone accidentally fell in the water. She took it to the nearby outlet for the company but they refused to accommodate her.

We don’t yet know who will emerge victorious in this lawsuit but it does go beyond logic. If the phone is really water-resistant as they claim, should they not cover the repair cost of it as well. And if they still do not want to cover the warranty for it, then should they not promote the phone to be water-resistant?

Thailand Vacation Guide: Top 6 Things to do

Although it’s already a popular destination in Asia, Thailand looks set to gain even more visitors in the coming years. By 2020, numbers could rise to 47.5 million, compared with 29.9 million in 2015. Here’s a look at some of the best ways to experience the country and its culture before mass tourism makes it too crowded.

Get up close to elephants in the Chiang Mai jungle

There are plenty of ways to get up close to elephants than the typically touristy elephant rides, which don’t offer much in the way of authentic experience and can raise animal welfare issues. While some travelers opt for elephant retreats at the sanctuary in Kanchanaburi, northern Thailand is also a choice destination for elephant experiences, with the Chiang Mai jungle leading the way.

Here, many locals have become guides for tourists looking to spend time with elephants in ways that respect the animals’ well-being. Visitors can learn how to mount and ride elephants like the locals (bareback) and go trekking in the jungle. They can even give the animals a bath and feed them bananas. Chiang Mai city makes an ideal base for a day in the nearby jungle.

Elephant Nature Park Chiang Mai

Make friends with the monkeys of Lopburi

A few hours’ drive to the north of Bangkok, Lopburi is home to hundreds of monkeys. While taking in the Khmer temples, visitors can experience the antics of the many monkeys that inhabit this so-called Monkey City. Visitors are advised to take care with food and keep anything edible shut away in a bag (or arrange to eat later in the day) to avoid becoming a target for the cheeky simians. In any case, meeting the monkeys is sure to be memorable, with hilarious holiday snaps guaranteed.

Step back in time in Sukhothai, go for a bike ride

Sukhothai was the capital of the first kingdom of Siam, which went on to become Thailand. Located 4.5 hours’ drive from Chiang Mai, the town is home to the remains of 21 temples and their surrounding fortifications. These historical relics are an impressive sight, setting the scene for some spectacular photos starring an impressive lineup of Buddha statues. As well as its historical sights, the Sukhothai Historical Park is an especially nice place to visit on two wheels. Bikes can be hired for a few bahts (1 THB = approx. 0.03 USD) and visitors are free to come, go and explore as they please.

Relive history on the bridge of River Kwai, Kanchanaburi

Situated to the west of Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is a must for anyone with an interest in history. Visitors flock to the area to snap a picture of the bridge over the river Kwai, which saw several thousand workers killed during its construction. In the Second World War, the Japanese, who occupied the region, decided to build a railway line linking Kanchanaburi to Burma, a route stretching 410km (255 miles). Work on the line, soon nicknamed the “Death Railway,” was scheduled to take five years, but was completed in just 18 months after the occupying Japanese put to work many of their Australian, Dutch and British prisoners of war alongside Asian laborers. The story was immortalized in the Pierre Boulle novel and its famous movie adaptation “The Bridge on the River Kwai.”

Experience Loy Krathong, the festival of lanterns

Like a moment suspended in time, Loy Krathong sees Thailand celebrate the end of the rainy season and pay respect to the goddess of water. It’s held each year on the eve of the full moon in the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar. People traditionally make little boats from banana leaves which float out onto the water holding candles. Lanterns are also released into the sky. This is a popular, family-focused event where visitors can join in with the rituals and festivities without raising eyebrows among local Thai people. Loy Krathong is celebrated across Thailand, with traditional events often accompanied by shows, festivities and meals. Sukhothai is a particularly popular destination for the festival, with a light and sound show organized in the Historical Park.

Kick back and relax on the island of Koh Tao

No trip to Thailand would be complete without visiting one of its paradise islands. And there are islands to suit all kinds of visitors with very different interests. But, if there’s only time to fit in one, then Koh Tao could be just the ticket. Situated in the Gulf of Thailand, this “Turtle Island” is a true haven of calm and relaxation, far from the crowds of tourists heading to the likes of Koh Phi Phi and Koh Pha Ngan for Full Moon Parties. Koh Tao is a paradise for divers and snorkelers.

COVID-19: Oxygen Prices In Karachi Shoot Up Amidst High Demand

Oxygen Prices Shoot Up Amidst High Demand

With the rise in coronavirus cases all over the country, the situation is turning alarming for Pakistan. To emphasize and make the public follow the COVID-19 protocols, new lockdown measures have been implemented. As hospital wards start to fill up again, it is a grave situation and only a matter of time until we face oxygen shortage, just like in India.

Demand Of Oxygen Supply

With the rise in the number of COVID-19 patients and the need for cylinders. The manufacturers have alarmed the possible shortage of oxygen in the upcoming days. The prices of oxygen cylinders have shot up surprisingly by 2000-4000Rs. However, there is no reduction in the supply of oxygen, say the manufacturers.

Recently, a joined statement has been released by the owners. In the statement, they mentioned that oxygen is produced in its full capacity for now. However, it is only a matter of time before things could turn horrendous, just like in India.

Most of the oxygen produced in the country is being allocated to the hospital settings for now. Federal Minister Asad Umar says that the countries oxygen supply capacity is under stress. The Federal minister took to Twitter to comment about the current situation.

“We are working to enhance capacity and will import the gas if needed,” he said after the briefings received by NCOC over the weekend.

The Current Situation

A spike in coronavirus cases has taken over 2,400 lives just in April. Last week Pakistan reported the highest number of deaths of patients on ventilators during the ongoing month. The situation is reaching critical levels in some cities.

According to a city-wise breakdown, 88% of ventilators in Gujranwala, 85% in Multan, 82% in Lahore, and 65% of ventilators in Mardan are occupied. According to the data by the National Command and Operation Centre on its official web portal, 5,870 new coronavirus cases were recorded last week.

As the situation worsens for Pakistan, it is becoming more important to follow the protocols and limit all the activities as much as possible. As a nation, our fate does not turn out to be like our neighbors.

Man Sells Fake Hand Sanitizers Worth Rs.200m, Gets Arrested

Hand sanitizers and surgical masks are essential given the spread of coronavirus. Since it is included in SOPs, all those who have understood the danger of COVID are buying up these resources. But when there is a demand, frauds jump into the market. One such fraudster was found selling fake hand sanitizers.

India Faces The Full Extent Of Coronavirus Pandemic

The situation of India has gone from bad to worse due to the pandemic. More and more people are getting tested positive. The hospitals are not equipped to handling this amount of patients rolling in. The ventilators are not available, and the oxygen for the ventilators is down to zero. Amidst all this, one would hope that the people around you would show humanity. But this man in Vadodra, India, is only thinking of profiting from these events. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that he is contributing towards worsening of this situation.

Indian Man Sells Fake Hand Sanitizers

This man produced hand sanitizers using methanol instead of ethanol just because methanol was easily available and cheaper. Methanol is a dangerous chemical, and yet, the Indian man had already made PKR 200 Million (INR 100 Million) from selling the fake hand sanitizers. The process had been ongoing for the past ten months. The hand sanitizers were produced by AK Industries, Nitin Kotwani, which they would sell under different brand names.

The arrest comes thanks to a tip-off to the Pollution Control Board. The Board conducted a raid and seized 8,025 liters of the hand sanitizer. The sanitizer containers amount up to 14,741 in varying sizes (50 ml, 100 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml, and 5 liters packaging. In total, these goods would have sold for 45.47 lac.

The police are now investigating all the stores, Kotwani was supplying his products to.

Changan UNI-T Vs KIA Sportage: A Friendly Comparison

Changan and Kia comparison SUVs

When it comes to automobiles, a lot of people are already aware of the development in Pakistan. Despite there being a lot of competition, some brands seem to be shining apart from the crowd. Changan is one of these automotive brands and it is certainly making a mark on the industry. When the Changan Alsvin came out, it took the people by storm. Today, we compare a Changan vehicle with a Kia one.

When Changan came out with the sedan, a lot of people were doubtful at first. However, eventually, the reviews started to pour in. What might have been expected as a slow rise, turned out to be a swift one to the top. Right now, the brand is among the most popular ones in Pakistan. They have now released details related to an upcoming SUV.

However, the launch date of the SUV is in 2021 so we can only do rough comparisons at the moment. The Changan SUV, in question, goes by the name of UNI-T. Let us dive into the details of its comparison with Kia Sportage!

Changan Uni t and Kia sportage

KIA Sportage:

This is one of the most robust SUVs to exist in the country today. The new and improved version took to higher skies only a few years back. Today, you can see quite a lot of them being driven on the roads of Karachi. Whether you are a fan of compacts or SUVs, Kia has got you covered. With comfortable seats and a smooth drive, it is definitely a vehicle worth investing in.

When it comes to under the hood, it has a 2.0-litre engine with a total of three variants. All three are automatic and petrol-based, with differences in wheel configuration. While the FWD variant is at a price of Rs.49 Lac, the AWD is at Rs.54 Lac. The vehicle gives an average of 12 to 14 kilometres to the litre. This is quite a good one, considering how much engine power it delivers. It has a 5 person seating capacity alongside a plethora of on-deck features.

Changan Uni-T:

While we may not know a whole lot of details on the vehicle, we do have some of them here. Firstly, the variants being offered in China are set at a 1.5-litre capacity. However, the engine is turbocharged, giving it a cosmic 177 horsepower. This puts the vehicle directly in league with the other SUVs on the road. It is sure to give Kia a hard competition. It has also been quoted that the car will have a more powerful 2.0 litre variant in the future.

The UNI-T comes installed with ABS, Ventilated disc brakes alongside a 7-speed DCT transmission. This seems like quite an impressive portfolio for a newly appearing car. All of this gives the SUV a fuel average of 16 kilometres to the litre! That is a whole lot of average and is sure to give a good run for the money. You can easily go on long road trips and come back on a full fuel tank. The price, converted from Yuan, translates to starting from Rs.28 Lac and going as high as Rs.35 Lac. Seems like quite a bargain in exchange for all that the customer is getting.

In the end, it all boils down to the preference of the customer, which car they want to drive and which one they feel comfortable with.

2. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

If you like your dessert extra sweet, then this combination of peanut butter and chocolate chips in banana bread is for you.

Ingredients

  •  cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  •  cup mashed banana about 3-4 bananas
  • 1/2 cup applesauce unsweetened or sweetened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup canola OR vegetable oil2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. Spray two 8×4-inch loaf pans with cooking spray.  You can also use 4-5 miniature loaf pans instead. There is too much batter for just one 9×5-inch loaf pan, so don’t try and do that.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir with a whisk to break up any clumps.
  3. In a separate smaller bowl, combine the mashed bananas, applesauce, peanut butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Use a whisk (I use the same one from before) and mix it.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir together with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter between the two pans. Each pan should only be about half full. Sprinkle some additional chocolate chips on top (if wanted).
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Cover loosely with foil (just lay a piece of tin foil over the top of the loaf pans) for the last 15 minutes of cooking, so the bread does not get too brown.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 15-20 minutes and then take it out and let cool on a cooling rack completely. Or eat a piece warm with butter! Yum!

thrift stores

Online thrift stores are the ‘new in’. So you take the expensive dresses, footwear, purses, cosmetics, or basically anything you buy for yourself and resell it. Of course, it is for thrift stores, so you buy it at a way lesser cost than what you got it for.

Usually, the prices earned from the thrift stores are donated to charities. Well, that is a foreign concept. But now, the online stores for this purpose employing the platforms of Instagram and Facebook are becoming a thing for Pakistan as well. While the goal may not be the same as donating to charity, they are getting quite popular.

Read More: Online Thrift Stores – Are Their Prices Justified?

So we have assembled a list of 5 stores that you can definitely try out. Not only do they seem legit, but the products shown are also in relatively good condition.

You might not find a lot of shoes at a lot of thrift stores, but with nationwide delivery, this store provides a vast range of shoes as well.

IBA Students Share Spine-Chilling Haunted Campus Stories!

haunted

Somehow educational institutes always were called haunted. We would get the explanation: oh, but that’s because they were made on graveyards. Now, graveyard or not, we would be scared like anything, but we also like to hear all those stories and get to the root of whether the ghost is on that ancient-looking tree or that room in the basement. So we decided to approach universities and find out about the most haunted stories.

Today, we will be sharing all the stories that IBA students contributed.

1. The whisperer

So this IBA student mentioned her summer story. She went to the campus located in Sadar. Since it was Summers, the campus was not crowded. So the girl went to the washroom and started washing her hands while reading about a ghost girl at Karachi University. Right then, she started hearing someone whispering. The moment she noticed it, the washroom door swung open and closed with a bang. She ran away with all her might.

2. The Girls Mosque

The placement of the girls’ mosque in the city campus is interesting, at least for students from the other campus. So this student from the main campus shares that once she reached the prayer room after being lost in the maze of corridors. When she reached the prayer room, no one was there. She started praying. And suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she sees a woman praying two rows ahead of her. When her prayer ended, she saw no one. 2 other girls also felt someone was next to them in the prayer area when they were alone.

3. Who is there… or not there?

Another girl shares how she and her friend ran to their class since they were late. They got to the conference room, opened the door, but no one was there. They assumed that they confused the room and ran to the other conference room. But that was empty too. So they decided to go back to the first room. This time everyone was already there; the teacher had taken the attendance and had started the lecture. The girl was confused because they had left the room only 30 seconds ago…

4. Nearly Headless Nick

IBA has its personality, nearly headless nick. So a student shared that when he went to the parking of the main campus, he realized that someone was following him. It was nightfall, and the follower was matching the speed and not overtaking him. So he turned to see that maybe its a friend. But guess who it was. You guessed it right. The student ran to his car and never went to the parking alone again.

If you have more haunted stories, do let us know, and we will feature them here.

Hira Mani Has Found A Bride For Her Son & Netizens Are Angry

Hira Mani and bride for son

Many pieces of news encircle the internet every day. They can be related to the pop culture world or the world of politics. Some tend to shock the audience while others leave them with teary eyes. In recent news, it seems that actress Hira Mani has had something to say to the world. She has just, allegedly, found the perfect bride for her son. Her son, Ibrahim, born in 2014, is the son we are talking about here.

From Tirana, Albania, a young blogger seems to be rising high. This personality goes by the name of Marge Pellumbi and she is just four years old! Yes, not many of us would have expected a blogger to be this young.

Of course, she has people managing her social media but she has gotten quite famous in the spotlight recently. Her work consists of recreating the looks of Pakistani celebrities. In her most recent post, she recreated Hira Mani’s look.

Asking the Hand in Marriage:

The actress was so impressed with the recreation of herself that she replied to Marge Pellumbi. She was quoted to have said that she loves the style and wants her to marry Ibrahim when she is of age. According to sources, the exact words were,

“Beautiful Ibrahim ki Dulhan bunjao bari hou kay hahaha @therealibrahim_man …. be my daughter in law,”

These were her words on the post of Pellumbi. Now, the internet has had a lot to say on this matter. Instagram has absolutely exploded with reactions and the entire post has gone viral.

There have been many mixed reactions but a lot of them have been enraged ones too. After all, a person should always be allowed to decide on their own, even when it comes to marriage. Neither of the two personalities is of an age where such things are to be discussed.

Viral News:

The first and foremost thing to be focused on, when it comes to kids, is education. Additionally, the kids should be allowed to pursue their own life when they are of a mature age. From this post, it does not seem to be this way. We don’t even know the family details of Marge Pellumbi and whether or not anyone there would consent to such a decision.

If Hira Mani’s comment made was purely in humour, then there is not a lot of harm in it. It can still be seen as inappropriate by people but in the end, it is the affected parties whose business this is. Who knows if the parties will even remember each other fifteen or twenty years later? We hope that no ill comes of this situation and everyone lives on as they intend to. It is always fun to have some humour, though.

Proton and new milestone achieved

When it comes to automobiles, Pakistan is certainly making a mark on the world. There is no doubt that the industry is starting to rise in the country and it is a good sign. Remember the time when we came across the pandemic last right? Despite the dire situation, Pakistan seems to be growing at a steady rate. Now, an automobile brand, Proton, has decided to celebrate the completion of a milestone.

Over the last months, we have seen many car brands enter Pakistan. They are not only known for their newness but also how much they are willing to invest here. Proton is a brand that came out with an SUV by the name of Proton X70. Its features are extremely impressive and not many can give it a hard competition. When it first came out, people were a bit sceptical of it because not many had heard of it. Once the reviews started pouring in, it quickly became one of the most popular ones in Pakistan.

Achieving a Milestone:

So, what is this milestone that everyone is talking about? Due to Proton being a relatively new company here, it is understandable if the achievement itself is not over the moon. So, what has happened is that Proton has successfully sold 1000 units in Lahore. We are looking at the company collectively here so the number of sedans and SUVs can differ.

However, seeing how impressed the public was with the Proton X70, it is no doubt those 1000 units have already been sold. The company promised to deliver on quality and they did not compromise anywhere. The vehicle itself is a 1500cc SUV with two variants in it. There is the AWD version as well as the FWD version. A lot can depend on a budget but the final choice comes down to preference too.

Proton Rising High:

While it may not be as old as some titans in the country, the brand certainly has made a good first impression. Of course, first impressions can also change but we have not seen anything like that yet. The company is celebrating its milestone on social media and they have every right to do so. This also shows the public that the brand is not lagging, it’s bounding forward.

Where there is the SUV, there is also the release of the Proton Saga. It is a sedan that took the world by storm a few weeks back. People were aware of its development but they weren’t sure of its release. However, unlike the X70, here the people weren’t doubtful at first because the first vehicle launch was good.

If you wish to check out the specifications on these vehicles, do look them up. The Proton X70 itself is quite cheaper as compared to the rest of the SUVs in the domain. Its current price rating is between Rs.46 to Rs.50 Lac. We hope that the brand continues to rise high and surprise us with more vehicles in the future.

Trend-setter Groom?

Generally, elders have always stressed at wedding functions that the best gift a groom can give to his wife is reciting the Quran for her. It appears this groom was the one who paid heed to the advice and now he might be setting trends.

Reciting the Quran at a wedding can grace and bless the function more than anything. It’s a sign that the couple is beginning their life together with the word of Him and that He is not forgotten in the big celebrations.

There Is No Right or Wrong

Irfan Ahsan tends to delete all negative comments on his social media but many expressed their reservations with this. Many believe this should have been done privately. They believe reciting the Holy Book and publicising it like this takes away the sanctity of it.

Others jumped to say that the relationship between a person and Him is to be left between them. Private or public, the groom took an initiative for which he must be appreciated. People express their love in different ways!

Biggest Wedding Trends

Though we are more than inspired and in awe of the Groom’s tilawat, we can’t help but be mesmerised by the decor behind. One of the latest wedding trends is an all-glass decor with huge flower arrangements and chandeliers. Found any inspo for your wedding decor yet?

Moreover, how adorable is it that the couple is blending in their decor? It looks like a harmonious affair of colours and bling. We wish them a very happy and prosperous life ahead!

Horror stories make for a good pastime and even a good topic for a casual family gathering. So we got in touch with people to share some horror experiences, and 4 Karachiites did. Have a look at the spine-chilling horror experiences they shared.

1. The Fajr Alarm

She shares she was sleeping. And like every morning, her mother came to wake her up. She usually threw tantrums, but that day she did not. Her mom woke her up and indicated for her to follow behind. Like clockwork, she did. Her mother walked straight from the lighted room to the ‘dark’ corridor. That stood out because her mother always switched on the light, so she stopped. She called out to her mom, who had gone to the far end of the dark corridor. And she heard her response. Only that it came from the room on her right. Apparently, her mom had not yet woken up.

4. The voices

One other person shares their story. He said that he lives in a house with some of his friends. So this one fine day, he was home alone when he heard the door slam shut. He took a stroll around the house but did not find anyone else, nor did he see anyone’s car. So he locked the door and went upstairs. This was when he started hearing someone smashing the pots and plates in the kitchen. He knew there was no one in the whole house, so he got scared. But when he saw that the smashing has continued for a good 5 minutes, he started reciting all duas he knows. And the voices started getting dimmer and eventually died out.
