#ABreakForHaveABreak: KitKat Takes A Break On Its 85th Anniversary!

Kitkat, the world-famous chocolate, is celebrating its 85th anniversary. They intend their global campaign to reflect the longevity of the brand alongside the modernness incorporated in it. But here is the kicker. They are allowing their consumers to come up with a slogan that they can use and taking a break from their own slogan.

Kitkat is Turning 85!

The brand has announced that its campaign needs a slogan, and this time, the opportunity is on the shoulders of consumers. While they come up with witty captions, they can use the hashtag #ABreakForHaveABreak because the brand will be tracking this hashtag on Wunderman Thompson’s AI slogan generator.

If the brand decides on a slogan, well, the winner will get to have an 85-hour vacation at a luxury hotel. Yes, 85-hours, to signify the anniversary. And the luxury hotel stay is already significant considering the pandemic infested world where people have been confined to their houses. So through this, Kitkat offers its consumers a break from the monotonous, tedious, and frustrating routine.

What’s the Plan

So how exactly is Kitkat incorporating the 85 year legacy in the campaign? They are bringing in the J. Walter Thompson veteran Jeremy Bullmore. Jeremey joined J. Walter Thompson in 1954 as a trainee copywriter. He will be reviewing the campaign for them and choosing the best slogan, and consequently, the winner.

The 85th anniversary required the brand to be innovative with its ideas this Halloween. And it’s all because of the pandemic. See, the epidemic requires social distancing and sanitizers to prevent the spread of the virus. And Halloween is all about trick or treat. Surveys have indicated that almost 43% of Americans will not be doing that. Yet, 62% of Americans are still going to be buying candies.

So while they look for an alternative slogan, the brand will be taking a break from their signature slogan, “Have a break, have a KitKat.”

Bas Korsten, the global chief creative officer at Wunderman Thompson, said, “As a creative, I’m honored and privileged to work for such an iconic brand. KitKat’s advertising history is one of the richest in the world, and the relationship we have with the brand is one of the longest in the world. And although, after all those decades, the famous slogan ‘Have a break, have a KitKat’ is getting a well-deserved temporary break, we won’t have a break until we ensure that the next 85 years of KitKat history is as exciting as the first.”

Did You Know You Don’t Have To Peel Ginger?

We’ve all been there… Ginger is so hard to peel which is why most desi households keep it stored diced! But, according to some experts, it’s hard to peel for a reason which is that you’re not supposed to peel it. The skin actually disappears when you put it in whatever you’re cooking— it’s magic.

How To Use The Skins

First, you must wash it to remove surface dirt or pesticides. Second, use a vegetable brush to remove any soil and grit. Unpeeled delights made great homemade beet chips, potato chips, and sweet potato fries.

In addition to fiber, potato skins provide more essential minerals –like potassium, iron, and niacin– than the starchy inside. Iron supports your body’s red blood cell function, delivering energy to your muscles, so eat the peels to have more energy all day long.

For all these reasons why don’t peel your fruits and vegetables next time!

5 Things Only Pro PUBG Players Can Relate To

Gaming took a drastic turn when Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds was released. This game, also called PUBG, for short, introduced a new kind of playstyle into the gaming world. It was extremely new because players had been familiar with arena-based fighting but they weren’t familiar with one thing.

It was the concept of the map shrinking with each passing second. Rivalries developed, friendship bonds deepened. It became quite difficult to put the headphones down when in the game. Soon, amateurs became Pros and new players became amateurs. With so much time passed since it’s release, here are a few things that every pro PUBG player can relate to,

Pubg gaming

1. Wrong Drop Zones

The game starts off with players flying over the intended arena in a plane. When they feel like it, they can jump out of the plane into any part of the map. The issue arises when there’s a pro player playing and the jumper is a newbie. This is a part of matchmaking that everyone hates. Sometimes people of different skill groups are matched together.

Now when a less professional player is the jumper, there is a huge chance of them either jumping to far off the map or into a hot zone. The pro players know they cannot completely go apart from the lead jumper because then rendezvous becomes a nightmare.

2. Trolling and Griefing

In gaming, Griefing is considered an act of sabotage from the teammate towards the team. Deliberately either dying by the enemy’s hand or shooting one’s own players are all various types of Griefing. In counter-strike, players often grief by throwing flashbang grenades towards the team or overall throwing their game.

It can be an extremely annoying experience to have a player start Griefing mid-game. They will either attempt to kill other players, throw away medical supplies or just stand in one place. Pro players can relate, matchmaking often brings griefers.

3. Lack of communication

Imagine you’ve dropped into a zone with a high amount of loot. You’ve picked all the appropriate weapons and gear and are ready to strike. Your teammate sees an enemy behind you but due to no microphone, they can’t scream out in time. After you’ve been hit, comes the message ‘Look Out’ typed by the teammate.

This is a huge down point for pro players because they thrive on call outs. They are constantly scoping out the radar as well as the environment. So, a lack of communication can, pretty easily, get the whole team killed.

4. Toxic Players

This is one of the worst things that can happen to a pro player. The probability of this happening can be higher than anything else. Toxic players not only ruin the entire gaming and experience, but they also cause other teammates to rage and quit as well. A toxic player will constantly keep groveling you over one mistake, they will keep screaming ‘Delete the game’ if you miss a shot.

Mentally, it’s not even right to get matched with a toxic player. In such cases, pro players are forced to mute and play without communication.

5. Time is no quantity:

Pro players often find themselves playing PUBG for hours on end. One game after another. You start playing before midnight and suddenly a couple of games later, the sun is coming up! It’s an addictive gaming experience, especially if one gets the hang of it. The better you get at it, the more you wish to play.

It can be a fast-paced day if it starts with PUBG and you’ve ranked or deranked by lunchtime.

These are just some of the things pro PUBG players can relate to.

Best Nikon Cameras 2020: 5 Choices For Photography Enthusiasts

Nikon Cameras

The camera was invented as a means to store memories. It works on a simple principle, and it has evolved quite a lot over the decades. There was a time when people had to stand or sit still for quite a while before the camera took the picture. If you moved an inch or two, you get a blurry image and a lot of wasted time. Stepping into the late 20th century, cameras were fitted with disposable reels that held limited slots. You’d take pictures immediately, then wait a week or so to get them developed in a dark room. Now, with the 21st century two decades in, Digital Cameras have stepped up their game. DSLRs rule the world of camera photography with its powerful lenses and capabilities. So what are some of the best Nikon cameras in 2020?

Some old cams

1. Nikon Z5

This is one of the most impressive Nikon Cameras on this list. It features a full-frame CMOS sensor as well as a 3.2-inch touch screen. The sensor on a DSLR camera is quite vital. Without it being a good one, the photography level is compromised. It is a mirrorless camera and is considered as an entry-level one in 2020.

With a continuous shooting rate at 4.5fps and movies at 4K, this camera is the stuff of subtle legends. It comes in 24 megapixels, with a grip that’s essential to the user. The autofocus on the camera is impressive so you may not always have to manually focus.

2. Nikon D850

The D-series Nikon Cameras have always been a favorite for many professionals. Even the older models are used as practice for rising photographers. Similarly, the D850 also has a full frame CMOS sensor with a staggering 45 mega pixel capability.

It offers continuous shooting speed at 7fps which is higher than the Z5 and it sits well in the user’s hand. It is often considered as Nikon’s most desirable DSLR. With an 1, 840 shot battery life and dual cards, this device is one to be trifled with.

3. Nikon D3500

Now this is a camera that is an all-rounder. This means that it’s suitable for all levels of photographers. Whether you’re a newbie to the world or you’re an old pro polishing your skills, this is the one to go with. It features an APS-C CMOS sensor with 24 megapixels. It is regarded as one of the more easily affordable cameras on the list. However, it can still be a small hefty amount.

It does not have a touch screen, however, but it is a highly recommended camera for beginners. Its manual mode has so many features that one can never get tired of exploring new angles!

4. Nikon D7500

Newly professional cam

This is considered as a step up from the D3500. Even though it features a 20-megapixel capability, it is still quite an impressive camera. Pixel is not the only factor one looks for in DSLRs. You have to observe aperture range, battery life as well as how it handled autofocus.

It has a slightly more compact size as its twins and it has no second card slot. It offers 8fps burst shooting as well as 4k video. The camera is also entirely weather-sealed so no chance of getting damaged by moisture.

5. Nikon Z6

All round digital photography

This is probably one of the best Nikon Cameras on this list and the place it rightly deserved. It is meant to a camera for either intermediate or expert photographers. You will not be disappointed at all with this buy because of its capability. It has a full-frame sensor with an EVF viewfinder, putting it a step above the rest. With 24 megapixels, it delivers the most stunning results of the bunch!

Now, this is a camera which is a worthy rival to Sony’s Alpha. It received so much praise that the world anticipates it’s successor; Nikon Z6 II.

These are just some of the best Nikon Cameras of 2020. They are suited for photographers of all levels of expertise and are guaranteed to deliver.

Pakistan’s First Transgender Lawyer Is Fighting Against All Odds

Transgender Lawyer

Transgender people are still looked down upon with contempt. Yes, there have been movements to eliminate this discrimination, but it will still take time. And the change has to start within ourselves, ensuring that when a transgender person passes by you, you don’t immediately back away. This happens when you are repeatedly interacting with them. Nisha Rao joins the avant-garde of the transgender community trying to do just that.

First Transgender Lawyer

Nisha Rao is breaking stereotypes by becoming the first transgender lawyer in Pakistan. Up til now, she said to a local publication; she has dealt with more than 50 cases, including some transgender people.

But what brought her to pursue this lone of career? Nisha had an interesting response. She said it was the behavior of the police and her community. She felt so provoked into doing something for herself and others like her that she decided that if she had to beg, she would do it in the morning and study law at night. Why law, though? Her mentor had once told her, police will be scared of you if you become a lawyer.

Thus she enrolled in Sindh Muslim Law College, and by 2018, she received her degree.

Nisha Rao – Back story

Delving into the life story of Nisha, she shared her ordeal that her own family would inflict abuse on her. Right after completing her matriculation, she ran away.

She recalls that when she went to study the Quran in the Madrassa, she would opt to sit with the girls, wear a headscarf, and apply lipstick. Such actions from her end would attract bullying from class fellows and beating from family. By 9th grade, she finally realized her true gender identity. At first, she was depressed but then told herself that God made her different.

She decided to accept her identity because that’s a fact just like her intelligence, her beauty, her hands, her feet, her eyes. All that mattered was doing something significant in her life. But the family did not want to support her. So it was with this hope, she left her house in search of a place where she was accepted.

She was able to make a good friend circle not just while attaining education but also at the City Court, where now she works. The colleagues are humble and very helpful towards her.

Next up in Nisha’s goals is setting up a helpline where transgender people can guide transgender people. And I believe this is very important considering other people want to help, but they do not understand the struggles of transgender people. Another of her goals is a transgender person’s old home.

We wish Nisha all the best!

KP To Become First Province To Go Digital With ‘Google For Education’

Google for education
PC: Slate

Education is essential, and there are no doubts behind this fact. Pakistan is changing the game of education within the country by going digital with ‘Google for Education.’

Khyber Pakthunkhwa (KP) will be Pakistan’s first province to upgrade the existing education system with the help of Google.

The government and the tech titan will join hands to replace the old educational system with advanced technology, introducing digital education to classrooms.

Teachers will also be given proper training on how to use the tech. They will also be trained on how to share experiences that go beyond the classroom with their students.

This mind-blowing news was shared by Shahram Khan Tarakal, the Minister of Education, KP, on his official Twitter account.

Education and development go hand in hand. Even though countries like Pakistan have come a long way in the past decade, we can’t deny that there are still countless who are deprived of education.

Here are some of the many advantages of education:

  • increases the GDP of a country
  • reduces the infant mortality rate
  • increases human life expectancy
  • opens investment opportunities in a country
  • guarantees lifetime income
  • promotes peace
  • reduces drop-out rates from schools and colleges
  • encourages healthy competition
  • helps in making the right decisions at the time of conflicts

Social Media Reactions to KP Going Digital With Google

Here’s how social media reacted to the news of KP becoming Pakistan’s first province to go digital with Google for Education.

Google For Education

Google for Education gives teachers the freedom to spend more time personalizing the learning experience and less time managing it. Students can learn 21st-century problem-solving and the skills they’ll use in their future careers, with accessibility features that help every student do their best work.

Moreover, this technology is not just limited to students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is also widely adopted for higher educational purposes by colleges and university campuses as well.

Technology alone will not improve education, but it can be a powerful part of the solution. -Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google

Google solutions create a robust computing infrastructure that keeps today’s higher ed communities humming. Researchers can speed up analysis from days to minutes, working seamlessly across departments and data sets. Students and faculty can collaborate quickly and securely across disciplines and campuses. And campus staff can work more efficiently and effectively.

4 Dramas You Did Not Know Were Written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar

Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar

Mere Paas Tum Ho created much drama outside the TV screen with its controversial stories and the representation of women. Not just that, but the drama writer, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, was also found speaking in a derogatory tone concerning women. But he still has a fan base about his previous dramas. These dramas included Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer Pyarey Afzal and Mahira Khan’s Sadqey Tumharey. But did you know that there are many more dramas written by the same writer and you probably did not know about them?

So just for you, we have assembled this list.

1. Mera Naam Yusuf Hai

Imran Abbas and Maya Ali started in this show. In the beginning, to me, it seemed a bit like ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat.’ You know, a rich guy meets a beautiful girl from a conservative family. The girl’s father is very attentive towards the girl and any kind of na-mehram attention. The story made its name over time.

khalil ur rehman qamar

2. Zara Yaad Kar

Zara Yaad Kar starred Sana Javed, Yumna Zaidi, and Zahid Ahmed. It’s a story about a woman undecided about love. Her mother gets married, but she is not able to commit to the man. So she leaves him. Things do not work out for her, unfortunately. But would I want our youth to think that they should not have their adventures, be it love or any other kind, and adjust in their marriages even if they don’t want to? Not so much.

3. Tau Dil Ka Kia Hua

I do see a trend here. Women choosing to leave their husbands painted in a bad light. In this one, a woman leaves her husband for what she believed to be love and gets conned. But she is a bad person.

On the other hand, the man falls in love with his ex-wife’s sister. And that’s fair game…

I did love the dialogue exchange and the intricate backstories in the drama.

4. Mohabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai

A girl falls in love with a guy. After much opposition, their wedding gets approved. But the man reads something in the girl’s diary and leaves her (ON THE WEDDING DAY). How strong is a man’s love, who is no Danish?

Some of these dramas were sure very good. But do we ignore the fact that Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has such a mentality? He can, through his dramas, influence lots of young minds of Pakistan in embracing the toxic patriarchy he enforces through his dramas.

The success of vivo comes as no surprise; with Benfen encompassing vivo’s corporate culture. The company is focused on doing the right thing, and doing it right – this has been recognized by many partners and end-customers alike. First Look into the European Smartphones Line-up

The media event was also an opportunity for vivo representatives to introduce its first line-up of smartphones and companion devices for the European market. Sitting on top of the current range is the vivo X51 5G, which features a gimbal-mounted main camera: an innovative pan-tilt mechanical image stabilisation system, allowing very steady capture of images and videos, while in motion or in a low-light environment where a steady hand means the difference between a clear or blurry shot.

The company has also presented a series of mid-tier devices from the vivo Y series – the Y70, Y20s and Y11s – focusing on battery, design, and camera features. A key range for vivo in Europe, the vivo Y series also addresses a need identified for Europe, as 62.5% of all smartphones sold in Europe from the 300 Euro and under price band[3]. The Y series caters mainly to a younger audience but will also be the right companion for more mature users, thanks to its battery capacity and ease of use. The Y20s and Y11s deliver a strong battery performance, with clever charging technology and 5000mAh capacity which will easily last for two days on a single charge.

Both vivo X and Y series are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and feature a very clean and minimalist version of the Android operating system, which allows the devices to run smoothly and intuitively, delivering a positive user experience, as highlighted by the vivo representatives.

Finally, vivo has introduced two companion devices: namely, two series of wireless headphones, both offering great audio performance, Google Assistant functionality and portability. The first, vivo Wireless Sport, is intended for active users who like to listen to music on-the-go to, at the gym or while exercising outdoors; The other, vivo True Wireless Earphones (TWS) pack powerful 14.2-millimeter drivers in a very compact package, and are intended as the perfect companion for the vivo X51 5G, thanks to Qualcomm aptX audio codecs and advanced audio technology, which allows the audio experience to adapt depending on the hearing capabilities of the person using them.

Travel 2020: 4 Unexplored Hidden Gems Of Turkey!

Turkey

Turkey is all the rage these days. And it has been for quite some time. So if you have traveled to Turkey, you would have visited Aya Sofya in Istanbul and the beaches of Antalya. Every other trip comprises of these cities or Cappadocia and Fethiye as well. But Turkey is much bigger and much more beautiful than just these four cities. Many hidden gems are not as crowded and have so much to offer.

Here is a list of few cities that you should go to when in Turkey. And what’s more, is that you will be able to enjoy them because they remain untouched by hordes of tourists.

Unexplored cities in Turkey

1. Amasya

Amasya is a mountainous city on the banks of the Yeşil river. Do you recall the famous star crossed lover Shirin Farhad? Well, the mountain there is named after Farhad. The rocky ravines, the green waters, and the traditional houses add to the folklore aura of the city. You can also find half-timbered Ottoman homes along the mountains.

Turkish baths, hammams of Amasya are a sight themselves merging Ottoman luxury with Swiss saunas.

2. Butterfly Valley

You already know about the beaches of Turkey thanks to Antalya beaches. But you also know that when beaches get crowded, one is not able to relax at those beaches. So what if I were to tell you about a beach so secluded that to get there you have to do a taxi boat ride? Butterfly Valley (“Kelebekler Vadisi”) is just that. I mean, you cannot even use your credit cards here, let alone fancy restaurants. But yes, there are self-service food shacks, wooden huts, and pop-up tents on the pearly-white beachfront.

3. Bursa

Let’s discover something along the lines of Istanbul but with its sightseeing spots. Not to mention, it is more affordable compared to Istanbul. It houses the 600 hundred-year-old Cocoon Hall known as Koza Han, a market on the silk road. After your shopping, you can end the day in tea gardens where the ever-intriguing clairvoyants impress you with their prediction skills.

4. Mugla, yes, in Turkey

Sea, sun, sand, history Mugla offers all to those interested in Sunbathing, diving, or discovering ancient remnants. The city is located in the Southwest on the Turquoise Coast. There is much to see in Mugla, such as reefs, caves, rock formations, and historical places such as the Bodrum castle. The castle reminds the visitor of the times of Crusades in Turkey.

These are just a few cities that we were able to find. Trust me. There are many more. So spend some time, do some research and go on a fun-filled trip. Who knows, when you are exploring these places, you may come across something new that even we don’t know about. If you do, do share it with us as well.

PC: Toyota Motor Corp

Each year, Interbrand takes out its Best Global Brands List. The list is based on the brand’s current value. Interbrand’s 2020 Best Global Brands List features not five or ten but fifteen automotive titans in the top 100!

Toyota dominated the list as the most valuable automotive brand worldwide, being valued at USD51.595 million (estimated).

Though this value is 8% less than last year, it is still good enough to secure the #1 spot. At the same time, Toyota ranks on #7 on the 2020 Global Brands List overall.

Mercedes-Benz follows closely as the second-highest (38 on overall list) valued auto brand valued at an estimated USD49.268m. BMW follows #3 (#11 on the overall list) with its estimated value at USD39.756m.

Interbrand’s 2020 Best Global Brands List – Automotive

With a significant 11% dip in brand value to USD21.694 billion, Honda secured the 4th position among automobile brands, followed by Hyundai, which gained 1% in brand value of USD14.295 billion 5th spot.

EV titan Tesla re-entered the top 100 list shooting to the 6th position with a brand value of USD12.785 million. We can say here that we aren’t surprised that Tesla has made it to the top 10 (#40 on overall list) after a brilliant year for Elon Musk and the company.

The other automotive manufacturers who have made it to the list are valued as followed:

7. Ford – USD12.568M (#42 rank overall)

Decline In Brand Value

Nearly all the automotive brands in the top 100 list this year have witnessed a decline in their value. Excluding Hyundai (+1% increase) and Tesla (re-entry), all others have witnessed a decline of up to 13%.

Ford dropped to 7th place and 42nd overall after a 12% decline to USD12.568 million. VW Group occupied the next three spots, with Audi taking the 8th place (44th overall), Volkswagen in 9th place (47th overall), and Porsche in 10th (55th overall). The German trio witnessed their brand values declined by 2%, 5%, and 3%, respectively.

Nissan followed the trio with an 8% drop in brand value to USD10.553 million. Ferrari also witnessed a 1% decline, whereas KIA, Land Rover, and Mini saw a 9%, 13%, and 10% decline in their brand value.

Brand Qualification for Interbrand

To qualify for the Interbrand list, the brand must meet certain criteria set by Interbrand. This includes having a strong presence in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Moreover, at least 30% of revenue must come from outside of the brand’s home region, and there must be sufficient publicly available data on the brand’s financial performance.

Furthermore, the economic profit must also be expected to be positive over the longer term, delivering a return above the brand’s cost of capital.

Lastly, the brand must have a public profile and awareness across the major economies of the world.

Once again, coming to the overall list, Apple dominated the #1 most valuable brand of 2020 with an increase of 38%, now standing at an estimated $322,999m. It is followed by Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Samsung, and Coca-Cola, respectively.

Is Mouthwash A Cure For Coronavirus? Find Out!

coroanvirus

Have you heard people saying that any regular mouthwash can help kill or reduce coronavirus in your mouth? If not, be glad because this was becoming the norm!

How Can A Mouthwash Help?

A Mouthwash does an excellent job of killing germs in your mouth. Using it before a dentist’s meeting is also advised because it can reduce any virus you might have in your mouth. However, when someone has a common cold, flu, or any other virus, we do not expect that mouthwash will help them, right? So, COVID-19 also does not fall in that category.

coronavirus
Image Source: The New York Times

There was some buzz about the fact that studies are being done. Researchers want to know whether mouthwashes can be effective in reducing the transmission of COVID-19. However, the latest study has negated all such aspirations.

The Latest Study

A new study used human cells grown in the lab (not in an actual human being) and one of the other human coronaviruses. There are several coronaviruses in the world, not as deadly; COVID-19 is one of them.

coronavirus

What works against this virus probably also works against the one we’re worried about. A reasonable choice, it seems so far!  With this setup, the investigators tried a few different types of mouthwash and drugstore products to see which ones inactivated most of the virus. Here’s what they said:

“A 1% baby shampoo nasal rinse solution inactivated HCoV [the cold-causing coronaivirus] greater than 99.9% with 2‐min contact time. Several over‐the‐counter mouthwash/gargle products, including Listerine and Listerine‐like products, were highly effective at inactivating infectious virus with greater than 99.9% even with 30‐s contact time. In the current manuscript, we have demonstrated that several commonly available healthcare products have significant virucidal properties concerning HCoV.”

Concluding Notes For Everyone

It is not a cure.

This study is not the first to test the idea that mouthwash might help prevent transmission of COVID-19. A review published earlier this year breaks down the evidence that mouthwash should be able to help.

To be clear, however, if you’re infected, using mouthwash would result in a temporary reduction in the amount of infectious virus in your mouth. It wouldn’t make you any less sick. This means for us not to go and gulp down Listerine, hoping that coronavirus will be cured. It’s also important not to spread misinformation on a topic as sensitive as this one. Here’s to hoping for a treatment soon!

Friends Or Not? Asim & Hania Unfollow Each Other On Instagram

hania amir asim azhar

The Hania Amir and Asim Azhar is a tale as old as time, but we feel it’s come to a close end. The two reciprocated in doing something that’s left fans shocked!

Unfollow for Unfollow?

The two alleged lovers and then friends have alas unfollowed each other. A few fans on social media raised this observation, and it is true! The cause for this public display of resentment is unknown, given that the two were focused on showing to the public that they’re friends.

They’ve Come A Long Way

Hania Amir and Asim Azhar both have come a long way today. They started as young celebrities who really took social media by storm. Then they became “really good friends” and vacationed together etc.

After that, they were still friends but demoted each other to “just friend.” Now, the day for the dreaded unfollow on Instagram has come.

Obsession With Follow/Unfollow

Is it just us, or have most celebrities become obnoxiously obsessed with follows or unfollows on Instagram? There are two cases in point!

One is of Ayeza Khan and Amna Ilyas: we’re guessing after Amna Ilyas’ trolling, Ayeza Khan unfollowed her. However, when Amna Ilyas was being attacked for fat-shaming Amina Haq, Ayeza sent her a supportive comment. To which Amna Ilyas said, “so why did you unfollow me?”

Secondly, Sadaf Kanwal and Saheefa Khattak got muddled in the same dirt. Sadaf Kanwal commented “beautiful” on the latter’s profile to which Saheefa replied by saying, “ab beautiful keh dia hai toh follow bhi kardein.”

A bit immature and nonsensical if you ask us, but it’s typical of Pakistan celebrities now.

What Can They Say?

There are a few hypothetical responses we can conjure up to predict what the two are going to say now. Hania Amir is the queen of acting clueless; she is an actor after all. She’ll say what? I didn’t even know that had happened.

Amir Azhar can come out with a song about unfollowing since he’s already made a song about a phone (Oppo). Maybe they will collectively say our accounts got hacked, and the hacker only unfollowed us from each other’s accounts.

Whatever the case may be, we can feel the Hania Amir and Asim Azhar chapter coming to an end.

Are you feeling sad about that? Let us know in the comments below!

Indian Media Trolled For Spreading Rumours of #CivilWarInPakistan

#CivilWarInPakistan

With the recent events in Karachi, from the gathering of PDM, the Pakistan Democratic Movement, to the Sindh Police expressing disagreement against the Pakistan Army, the politics in the country has been busy. But for some reason, India assumed (hoped?) it was a civil war and started reporting it that way. They started using the hashtag #CivilWarInPakistan.

I don’t know about everyone else, but as an office goer in Karachi, wading through the routine traffic of Shahrah e Faisal, I could only wonder, “What Civil War?”

The context of #CivilWarInPakistan

Others probably had the same thought, and thus, right after that, Twitter was raging with memes trolling Indian media for blowing news out of proportion. Now, sure there were many people present in Quaid e Azam mausoleum (Karachi) that day and things got heated. And sure, Sindh Police is not at the best of their relationship with the army. And yes, there was a gas leak in Karachi, but that does not mean there is a civil war. It only happens in Hollywood, dear neighbors.

May the Memes be ever in your favor

But then Pakistani ‘memers’ do not wait for anybody now, do they?

And so they started sharing hilarious clips with captions that make us laugh out loud.

1. Clips from Sindh

Now since the Indian media is saying that Sindh is out of control, Pakistanis are sharing the only possible scenario this can happen.

2. Because COVID is still a reality

Civil war or not, if Bane is following SOPs, so should everyone else. And apparently, he is on the Pakistan army’s side.

3. More evidence of civil war

Another tweet says that the possible images of civil war look like these. It does make us wonder, who is Bhai fighting with and with whom is Rambo is siding.

4. Places under attack during #CivilWarInPakistan

The secret is out now, Hogwarts’ correct location was indeed, Karachi. And Indian media was the first one to let the public know. Will the ‘Ministry of Magic’ be in touch with them? Only time will tell.

5. Captain Amir Liaquat has also joined #CivilWarInPakistan

If you are looking for Physics lessons, do consult him because this is some serious Applied Physics.

But these cute meme wars between India and Pakistan are always the best drama on Twitter. And these will never stop. They keep changing faces. Sometimes they are in the form of Surgical Strike, Abhinandan, Major Adnan Sami, or sometimes it is in the form of the trending hashtag #CivilWarInPakistan.

COVID-19: This Breath Test Will Give You Results In 60 Seconds!

breathonix
PC: breathonix

Have you ever waited for hours, days, even weeks to find out the result of something? Imagine being in limbo for days awaiting your COVID-19 results.

Not only is the process highly time-consuming, but it is also mentally and emotionally draining as well.

While the world still awaits a vaccine, we have some good news.

Medtech start-up Breathonix has found a way to detect whether a person is +ve or -ve in under 60 seconds.

The best part is that this test does not require a painful swab stick being inserted in the nose or mouth. You have to use your breath.

60-Second Breathalyser COVID-19 Test

Termed as the ‘breathalyzer,’ the test proved to be over 90% accurate in a clinical trial with more than 180 participants.

Moreover, Breathonix’s breath test only requires the individual to blow into a disposable mouthpiece.

It is similar to the test authorities use to test whether or not an individual is intoxicated.

The exhaled breath is used to detect and analyze any trace of volatile organic compounds used as COVID-19 markers.

Different diseases cause specific changes to the compounds, resulting in detectable changes in a person’s breath profile, – Dr. Jia Zhunan, chief executive officer of Breathonix

A machine linked to the software can successfully generate the final result with 93% accuracy in just 60 seconds.

Our breath test is easy to administer and it does not require specially-trained staff or laboratory processing, -added DR. JIA

The doctor added that because the test result is generated rapidly, this testing method can be adapted where the number of cases is very high.

The idea first started-off as a machine to detect lung cancer. Dr. Jia then founded Breathonix with chief operating officer Mr. Du Fang in 2019.

The NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme supports the company. It focuses on nurturing deep technology start-ups founded by graduate students and research staff.

This painless test is suitable for adults as well as senior citizens. However, at this point, we are unsure when other countries, including Pakistan, will adopt this technology.

Developing Affordable & Fast Test Results

Israel's Scentech Medical hopes to create a breath test to sniff out the coronavirus (YouTube screenshot)
PC: Times Of Isreal

Countries around the world are trying to create a similar tool to detect the COVID-19 virus. According to news reports, researchers from the United States to Israel to Finland have been working to develop non-invasive screening solutions.

Reportedly, Israeli companies have also announced moving closer to developing a reliable test. These tests would be faster and cheaper than the PCR tests that are currently in use.

Until then, stay safe and stay tuned to Brandsynario.
