Punjab Jobs Online is an online portal that has been established by the provincial government to help the youth find employment.

The portal was developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). It allows individuals from across the province to search and apply for government jobs as well.

Reportedly, there are government jobs in 452 departments in all the province districts that one can apply to after signing up.

PITB has shared a brief tutorial on how they can apply to help young individuals get started with their careers.

The tutorial teaches individuals how to create a new account and sign up on Punjab Jobs Online step by step.

Punjab Jobs Online: How To Apply For Government Jobs

If you’re in search of a government job via the job portal, here’s how you can sign up to apply:

Step 1- Go To www.Jobs.Punjab.Gov.Pk

The first step is to visit the Punjab Jobs Online portal. Once you have clicked on the URL or have searched for it, the next step is to apply to sign up.

Step 2- Sign Up

You won’t be able to access the job searches without being able to sign up first. To register, follow the following steps:

Click on the ‘Register‘ button on the top right of the portal
Enter the e-mail ID you wish to sign up with
Set a password
Click on ‘Register‘ to submit your information
Check e-mail for account activation
Click on the account activation confirmation link login and access the portal

Step 3- Build Your Profile

Once you have logged in after verifying your account, you must now build a profile. The profile should have your authentic information so that it makes it easier for recruiters to contact you.

Here’s what you need to do:

Enter your personal information
Enter your experience
Enter your academic information
Enter your skills, achievements, etc

Step 4- Search For Jobs

Once you have the login credentials and have built a profile, the next step is to search for jobs. To do so, you must click on the ‘Target Job‘ tab once the page has loaded and set the job criteria.

This includes the job title, career level, monthly salary target, your last salary (if any), etc. Once you’ve done that, you will start to receive emails regarding jobs you qualify for.

Targeted jobs can be searched on the following basis:

Department
District
Industry
Type of contract
Career level

Step 5- Apply For Jobs

Now that you’ve searched for the right jobs, it time to apply for them. When you find a search that intrigues you, click on ‘view details.’ You’ll be able to go through the job description more thoroughly.

You’ll also be able to see the ‘Apply‘ button if you meet the posting requirements. Once you have clicked on it, a window will open for further proceeding.

Once you have submitted the profile, the employer will be contacted if you meet all the requirements.

Internet Can’t Stop Trolling The New iPhone 12 & It’s Hilarious

After an enormous amount of hype and a grand event, the iPhone 12 is now an official product. Sales are set to start around November, and there is no less of an audience willing to buy it. However, where there is news, there are memes!

Twitter exploded when trolls took over the trending feed. Then they started making the Apple iPhone 12, a subject of the trolls. All in good humor, it’s absolutely hilarious to scroll through the feed and go through each tweet! They can’t stop trolling the iPhone 12.

First Contact:

This was merely a day after Apple’s online-only launch event. At first, the internet was flooded with praises and commendations towards the new iPhone and its variants. Soon enough, though, there came a swarm of the most widely known audience of the internet. They came in huge numbers and filled the whole feed. Initial tweets were reported to have said,

‘I want the iPhone 12, but my bank account and I share different views’. A jab at the general flagship values of iPhones, the trend then followed. It was soon filled with people wanting to donate organs for the iPhone! Then came the jab at how iPhone 12 will have ‘No price change’ but then removing the earphones and charger for ‘environmental purposes.’ Is this the iPhone or an electric car?

Attack of the Trolls:

Next came the second wave of trolling. ‘Biscuit memes’ posting an image of an old Nokia phone with a tablet leaf attached to the back, signifying the quad-camera array and saying ‘iPhone 12: Released without handsfree and charger. Bigger than iPhone 5’. The writer of this article could not help but laugh at every single one of the tweets!

Another tweet was found to state,

‘iPhone 12 aanay pe ab iPhone Lovers 5s Khareedeinge’

Every single meme seems to be constructed in such an ingenious manner and deserves the same respect. A person then mentioned how Samsung is going to bash Apple for the earphone/charger subtraction. Then they stated that Samsung would go ahead and pull the same move with their next phone! Just take a casual stroll through Twitter; you are guaranteed to die laughing.

The writer ends this section with another tweet they found while scrolling,

‘iPhone 12: No earbuds/ Charger

iPhone 13: No Phone

How can one not burst out laughing when going through these? It seems impossible not to, at least, giggle. The universe of memes is the stuff of legends, and it conquers all!

There is no doubt that Apple did make an impact on the new launch. However, as everyone already knows, the world of the internet leaves out no opportunity to troll.

If you intend to go for the iPhone 12 in Pakistan, you might have to wait a while. This is mainly because the extra cost charge that comes with phones here is quite hefty. A 1 Lac phone or 1.15 Lac phone might end up costing around 2 Lac.

Indian Jewellery Ad Trolled For Showing Hindu-Muslim Unity

India proudly calls itself a secular state where various religions can coexist peacefully. Yet, an Indian Jewellery brand had to remove an ad that promoted Hindu-Muslim unity following major backlash and trolling.

Tanishq Ad

Tanishq wanted to endorse ‘Ekvatam,’ the concept of oneness. And hence, they prepared a script where a Hindu girl married into a Muslim family. It showed the idea that people can live together without having to change their religions. In fact, people celebrate other religions. To be specific, the Muslim family was seen celebrating the godh bharai ritual, apparently not in the Muslim culture.

Executed perfectly, the love between the characters instantly made one like the ad, but some Indians did not see it that way. Instead, they got offended. They believed that the ad promoted the concept of love jihad.

Love Jihad

Love Jihad is basically that Muslim men rope in Hindu women through love and then convince them to convert. Officially, such a concept has been denounced by the Indian government, but the people on the ground still treat it as a reality. The Indians asked why it is that to show ekvatam; the woman has to be Hindu. They asked why an ad cannot have a Muslim bride in a Hindu home.

Kangana Ranaut’s Response

While the ad itself showed the love between all the household members, Kangana Ranaut, the actress known for being very anti-Pakistan, did not seem very convinced. She took to Twitter that the girl seems very meek and timid, which clearly shows that she fears her Muslim in-laws.

She further added that:

“This advert is wrong on many levels, Hindu bahu is living with the family for a significant amount of time, but acceptance happens only when she is carrying their heir. So, what is she? Just a set of ovaries? This advert does promote not only love-jihad but also sexism #tanishq.”

Supporters of Hindu Muslim Unity

Shashi Tharoor answered all such trolls and boycotters of the ad reminding everyone that it is the country India that promotes Hindu Muslim unity, so if they really want to boycott, they will have to boycott their own country.

But then again, Pakistan officially is not a secular state. So for a country proudly calling itself secular should be more accepting of such concepts, no?

Bachat, Car Bazaars Banned in Central District Karachi

An official notification was also issued in regards to the situation.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 3 of the Sindh Epidemic Act 2014, to prevent the general public from the spread of Covid 19.

“All the permissions/NOCs issued from time to time to hold Bachat bazaars, car bazaars, and any other permission for congregations within the jurisdiction of District Central Karachi, are hereby canceled/withdrawn forthwith,” the notification states.

Moreover, those who try to violate the ban will be dealt with strictly. Violators will be punished as well accordingly, Deputy Commissioner Central Muhammad Bakh directed.

“We overall performed 8,448 COVID-19 tests in the province during the past 24 hours,” said Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.

The death toll from the virus during the period stood at six in the province whereas 222 new cases came forward.

While on Monday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had announced that COVID-19 cases in Karachi had risen by 4% in just 5 days.

He reached out to the citizens of the metropolis, asking them to cooperate with the authorities.

It is not unjustifiable to say that Ayeza Khan should be ridiculed over her choices. It’s not as if she’s in dire need of money and it’s also not as if she is deaf and blind to the social momentum. The 13th of October (No, it was not a Friday) was a day full of wonders and surprise. It was the hosting day of one of the most anticipated events of the year. 2020 has seen an enormous amount of full moments. There have been widespread bad news and an overall grim vibe. So, it was refreshing to see the online-only event which hosted the iPhone 12 Launch! So what did they unveil that was not already information? To be honest, they revealed a whole lot of stuff that we were not ready for. It was an eye-opening event.

As we all have realized over the past few years, Apple is a lot about flair. They consider it a top priority to engage the audience in the most gripping way possible. So, it came as no big surprise that Apple would go all-in at an online event too. It starting building up its hype at least 2-3 hours before. Tim Cook then tweeted a request of him asking his event playlist to be played. Then, with smooth and near-perfect animation, the logo appeared and the event began.

They started from a blacked-out screen, then they zoomed in, slowly, to an establishment. Every transition made it feel like the opening itself was legendary! This is a major highlight because people wanted something uplifting and cheerful. If Tim Cook had appeared directly, there would have been no buildup. Now let us dive into the product highlights of the event.

2. The First Lap

Apple came running up the circuit with dashing speed. Almost going as fast and smooth as Dash, from The Incredibles, Tim Cook revealed the HomePod Mini! So what is this really? Well, it is a device that allows you to operate home kit devices using voice recognition. It employs the use of Siri as it’s the main source between Human and Machine. It is not a big device, nearly as big as your palm. Yet, it houses some of the most advanced technology to be made so far!

You can play and pause songs, adjust volume and offers 360 Degree Surround Sound. It uses the new S5 chip which is quite new and robust in it’s making. It even has an intercom feature for all your Apple Devices. Apple claims that the device will not record your voice until and unless you say ‘Hey Siri’. So there is a factor of privacy to be kept in perspective.

3. Pulling out the Big Guns!

Now comes the moment everyone was waiting for. With a grand gesture, Apple finally reveals the iPhone 12! It is unlike any other iPhone the world has ever seen. The software and hardware behind it are one to be marvelled at! Apple says that the iPhone 12 is significantly thinner and lighter than it’s predecessor. ‘Tushar Burman’ even dropped a tweet saying that it’s four times more resilient to being dropped. This is due to them using CorningGorilla techniques and body/screen features. The Ceramic Shields destroy any chances of a crack on the first drop!

The iPhones now even have a magnetic back which is safe for use with various devices. They claim that they used 100% rare earth metals for the production of each magnet in the iPhone 12. So far, the iPhone 12 Launch seems to be blowing the audience out of the water!

4. Additional Easter Eggs

The Public became fans of iPhone 12 Mini! It seems like quite a handy, cheaper phone but with flagship capabilities. Of course, this is a compromise on the battery but there is no doubt that its features stand out on their own. It’s camera features technology which has not yet been incorporated in a lot of cameras. Overall, the price range of all four iPhones (Mini, Regular, Pro, Max) is more reasonable than their predecessors.

5. The Secret Reveal

Apple has decided to support and incorporate 5G technology in iPhone 12 and it’s variants, making them state-of-the-art phones. Apple also revealed a beautiful new blue colour for the iPhone 12!

Recovered COVID-19 Patients Can Contract The Virus Again

The pandemic COVID-19 spreading from coronavirus strand brought the world to a standstill. A number of countries went into lockdown and halted all tourism activities for foreigners. Even in Pakistan, the COVID cases reached up to a number of 320,000. But thankfully the recovered COVID-19 patients were more than 305,000.

However, we cannot ignore the fact that more than a quarter-million people experienced worrisome illness. An illness that makes the patient undergo dry cough, diarrhoea and affected taste buds. It also weakens the patient a great deal. Even though the death toll was fairly low for COVID in Pakistan, anyone contracting the virus had their loved ones worried.

COVID is returning

It is also being said that Pakistan will experience another wave of COVID soon and the cases have seen an evident increase once again. And given that the virus thrives in heat, the upcoming heatwave in Karachi is not in favour of Karachiites either.

But there is a myth that needs to be tackled here. Some people are in the illusion that once infected by COVID, people cannot contract it again. This is not true. The medical staff has repeatedly said that we need to exercise precautions even after recovering from COVID because your body has not developed any immunity against it in that time.

COVID’s Twice victim

And the claim was proven when a man in the USA contracted it twice in a span of two weeks. This young adult, aged 25 got tested for COVID. The result came out positive. He was suffering from cough, headache, nausea, sore throat and diarrhoea. But all his symptoms went away by Aril 27, 9 days after he got tested.

In May, two of his tests came negative so clinically he was diagnosed healthy as well. By 28th May, however, he had the symptoms again. This time worse than before. 7 days later tested and got a positive result. He even had to be hospitalized since his lungs were not able to provide oxygen to his body.

Aside from that, he had a fever as well as dizziness and hypoxia. He recovered from the second attack as well. But the doctors had an interesting discovery. They found that the second strand of COVID was different from the first illness. It was more evolved.

So, long story short, recovered COVID-19 patients also need to be careful because COVID can attack again and the second time is much more severe than the first.
