Hassan Gets Exposed For Cheating And Twitter Is Roasting Him

It all began last night when a girl by the name of Yemeem exposed Hassan for cheating. She tweeted her entire side of the story and attached audio notes that her cheater boyfriend and his best friend sent her. Initially, when she took the story to Twitter, Hassan reportedly started blackmailing her. But now a vast Twitter family is standing by Yemeen and roasting the guy.

The Yemeen Hassan Story

It is a long read but let us summarize the story for you. So somewhere at the beginning of the lockdown, Yemeen met Hassan and started dating him. They met twice in this time, but both times they were with someone. And after that, the country went into lockdown mode. They were not able to meet up even after Hassan’s repeated invitations. The invitations, however, indicated that he wanted to meet with her alone. Yemeen mentions in the tweet that it was very indicative that he tried to get physical in the relationship.

While they were dating and Hassan kept asking her to meet privately, he went on a trip with a female friend and did not tell Yemeen. When she found out, she started contacting him, but he ghosted her. So she went on to get his best friend, Umar. Instead of addressing the issues, he labeled Yemeen for having insecurities and started giving her advice on how to be more understanding if she wants to save her relationship.

After that, the guy in question contacted Yemeen himself and apologized somewhat cryptically. He attempted to seem like the better man here by keeping his voice stable and low. The words were slightly like this:

“My definition of cheating and your definition of cheating are different.”

Uhh, no, sir. Cheating is cheating regardless.

Now, you can imagine that Twitter wouldn’t just leave Hassan after what he pulled. So someone rightly guessed what the Twitter family would do with him.

Remember the unboxing kids who found wastepaper instead of a drone after ordering online? Well, their description for online shopping, according to @gayomarlic, suits Hassan’s character too.

4. Did you listen to Umar?

In one of the above tweets, you can hear Umar defending Hassan. Foul language aside, this scene from Bollywood does define Umar’s faulty logic.

Well, Hassan did get famous. But let’s hope he does not react dangerously to Yemeen because fragile masculinity, when hurt, screams the loudest.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced the HEC Ehsaas Scholarship 2020 for 125 public sector universities across the country.

The total budget HEC has allocated for the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme 2020 is Rs. 24 billion. The scholarship includes 100% tuition fees and Rs. 4,000 stipend.

Who Can Apply?

Every year, the authority gives 50,000 scholarships to needy students who come from a household earning less than Rs. 45,000 a month.

Eligibility Criteria For The Programme 

Ehsaas Scholarships are offered to:

1. Newly admitted students.

2. Admissions secured on merit only.

3. Degree programmes allowed by the HEC.

4. The maximum age of eligibility is the same as the maximum age for applying for admission in undergraduate programs at the HEI.

Ineligibility Conditions:

A student is ineligible for the scholarship if found:

1. Availing any other scholarship or continuous grant.

2. Enrolled in distant learning programmes and affiliated colleges (both public/private).

3. Having secured admission on a self-sustain/ self-support/ self-finance basis, or in evening programmes with higher fee structures.

How To Apply For HEC Ehsaas Scholarship 2020

“200,000 students will benefit from this four-year programme,” the HEC officials said when announcing the scholarship. Students can easily apply online to take part by clicking here.

For students living in remote areas who don’t have access to the internet, the committee chairman said that an advertisement should also be given in local newspapers.

Moreover, 50,762 scholarships were awarded during the session 2019-20 worth at Rs4.82bn, the HEC officials added.

The Song That Should Be Condemned

The song at the heart of Rihanna’s lingerie show is called “Doom”. It had been created by a London based producer named Coucou Chloe over more than two years ago. The song allegedly has vocal samples from Hadith that talk about the end of times and judgment day.

The song basically picked up a video of a scholar in which these Hadith are being explained. She then proceeded to use them in the beats to create a song she believed would be great. The verses that are picked up and mixed in the beat are those that explain the signs of the Day of Judgement.

Appropriating Islam and Islamophobia

This action has far-reaching consequences. It shows how common Islamophobia has become in the western world. The song was released OVER two years ago yet it was just swept under the rug. Did you know about this song before this controversy? We didn’t!

The Hadith are sacred words of the Prophet that are invaluable for the believers. Moreover, they are second only to the Quran. For someone, no matter how famous or powerful, to use such an integral part of our religion and play it like this is unacceptable.

Education is not to be taken lightly. It determines the foundation of a society. The jaws of illiteracy have gripped nation after nation. Whole economies have collapsed due to illiteracy. Pakistan is a developing country. It is still coming to terms with the importance of education. The body that governs Pakistan’s education system is known as HEC. It stands for the ‘Higher Education Commission.’ Recently, HEC issued a list. The list contained names of Illegal universities in Pakistan. Why don’t we dive into the details of this shocking news?

Why is registration important?

HEC recognizes any institute which is registered by it. This ensures that the staff is qualified to teach. It also ensures that the financial works of the institute are not shady.

The writer of this article recalls an institute by the name of ‘Dadabhoy Institute of Higher education.’ This place was established in 2003. Then, two campuses were banned by HEC some years later. Shady deals were being conducted within the hierarchy. Thus, this educational establishment is now ‘Black Listed.’

Anyone who enrolls in this institute is only digging a grave for themselves. Companies don’t hire people if they don’t have a credible background.

What was released?

So, what is the big news? Why is there so much mention of ‘HEC’ recently? This is because their list highlights universities running unregistered. It also highlights which ones are illegally built. Often, it is discovered that the financial foundations are fine. However, there have been instances where the land has been illegally acquired.

Students have been warned to not enroll in these universities. If they do, their degree will not be recognized. Some institutes in Sindh include American World University International, American School of London. That last one is raising red flags all over. “American” school of “London”? Come on!

In Punjab, the Michigan International College in Lahore has been exposed. Preston University’s Faisalabad Campus has been deemed Illegal too. Overall, there are nearly over 180 institutes that have made this list.

HEC has also released a list of recognized institutes. This can provide safe passage for fresh college graduates. However, it does raise questions. What will happen to students already enrolled? Will they be allowed to work after graduation? Them enrolling before this incident does not make them incapable. Maybe there is a way to assign them courses before they can work. This can ensure that anything they learned was not wasted.

Future of Education in Pakistan?

So, where do we go from here? The universities are running, but for how long? There has to be a solution to get rid of them. If not that, we must come up with a way to get them registered. We have to keep hope for education in Pakistan.

We cannot move forward if we’re still tangled in such places. This step by HEC is quite significant. It informs students were not to apply. By filtering out the unregistered, they may have highlighted more options. They may have paved a path to gaining a recognized degree. Let us hope not to encounter any more Illegal Universities!

  4. You will now have to print the bank challan to any Habib Bank branch. The amount currently is at PKR 1000. If you cannot go through with the bank challan, a demand draft or the Pay Order are the two alternatives. Make sure that you are making it in the name of ‘CIIT Virtual Campus, Islamabad’.
  5. You will also have to arrange 4 recent coloured photographs. The dimension should be somewhere around 3cm x 2 cm.
  6. Last but not the least, get the hope certificate notarized on PKR 20 stamp paper.
  7. Now, take the form, the paid challan copy, photographs and the notarized certificate to the Admission office.

A social media user is calling out PEMRA for allowing vulgar content air on national television. Those who have watched ‘Churails’ may remember it at the back of their head.

The story is about 4 women who start a business to catch cheating husbands red-handed. Throughout the series, a girl from their team goes missing.

They find out that the missing girl was to become an ambassador for a beauty product in the process. One of the ‘Churails’ confronts another character about the missing girl.

During the intense conversation, the woman talks about the hard work and compromises and sacrifices she had to put into reaching where she is today.

She mentions that she had to give a man who was almost twice her age sexual pleasure to get to where she is.

The woman adds that she had no choice; it was either do please her bosses or pack up and go back to her hometown, which she would have never returned to.

However, social media was not pleased with the fact that the woman boldly claimed to have performed sexual acts to get a good job and a handsome salary.

However, many individuals corrected the user that the show is a web-series and was never aired on national television.

They also added that PEMRA has no jurisdiction over such content shown via an international broadcaster.

But, this is not the first time PEMRA was brought into such a debate. The authority has been questioned many times before as well on the kind of content aired on television.

2. Exercise!

Physical exercise is scientifically known to significantly reduce breast cancer risks. In meta-analysis research, the researchers concluded that every two hours of moderate exercise per week reduces the risk from 3 to 5%. So get up from your couch, put a pause on that Netflix for 20 minutes a day, which is not too much either, and start light or moderate exercise. It will do you good in the long run.

A 90-Year-Old Woman Has Had Enough

Meet Sarah Sultan, who at the age of 90, is having to make rounds to several courts and lawyers to get something that is her right as a Muslim wife. It has been 75 odd years to her marriage, and in all of these seven and a half decades, her Haq Meher was not awarded to her.

In her nikkahnama, the Haq Meher is a 3 Kanal and ten marla area of land. In all of her time as a married woman, her husband has not fulfilled his word. 

The case has been pending in various courts since 1970. Moreover, her husband has also bribed people to construct fake reports that show that he has fulfilled her right. Now, she has filed for an appeal in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

As if all this was not enough, Saeedah’s husband also had reports admitted into the court asking for her seizure.

VU Admissions 2020: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Online education has proved its worth ever since most countries were placed under lockdown due to COVID. Many brick and mortar universities had to shift to an online model, and it has still not been easy to adapt. And given that COVID’s second wave is almost here, Pakistan is predicted to go back under lockdown. In such a scenario, getting admissions to virtual universities is your best bet to get the top-notch education level.

The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) is among the top 3 virtual universities in the country. The others being Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and COMSATS. We have already spent some time on AIOU, and we will take a look at COMSATS in our upcoming articles. But for now, we will take a look at the admissions process of VU.

Listing down the process

The process begins with the online applications. They do not accept paper-based applications, so you have to apply through their website. While filling out applications, make sure that your personal information such as name, father’s name, and date of birth are exactly as available on the matriculation certificate. Please pay attention to the accuracy of the CNIC because you might not be able to change it later.

You will also have to mention the credentials and information in the academic qualifications section as per your academic documents. They include the roll number, registration number, marks, and of course, the pass out year.

Attachments to the admissions application

You will also have to add some attachments to the application. They include your photographs (according to the specifications they require) and the academic documents. The scans should be clear and legible. Recheck everything before applying. It is essential because incomplete applications will be straightaway rejected. The rejected applicants will have to get a new prospectus serial number to apply again.

Please note that you cannot change it once you select the virtual university campus and submit the application.

Things to Note

So aspiring students, the first step you need to do is to purchase the prospectus and scratch the serial code. VU accepts application with the prospectus serial number and its scratch code. However, if the applicant cannot get access to the prospectus, in that case, they will have to pay a PKR 500 voucher. They will also be required to upload the paid copy to the application.

The admissions have been open since August 23rd and will remain open until October 15th, so there is no time to waste. The MS-CS applicants will have to appear for the entrance test held on October 18th. The merit list will start to be published from October 21st, and the last of it will be uploaded by October 30th. Classes will commence from November 2nd. So it’s going to be a race against time. If you are really passionate about it, I suggest you get a move on it.

They say that social media’s power is truly unpredictable; it can make or break people and that too within mere seconds. The powerful tool has turned some of the most influential and biggest people into nothing, and ordinary people into stars overnight!

Pakistan also has several individuals who have gained stardom or have turned into ashes because of social media and fellow countrymen. One such story of success is none other than ‘Chai Wala’ Arshad Khan.

Khan was an ordinary boy working at a tea stall until one day, one of the customers snapped a picture of the lad and posted it on social media. Soon, an entire buzz around the boy’s beauty and looks started to kick-off. He became soo popular within just hours of the photo being posted that brands even started to give him contacts to model for them.

Although Arshad Khan has not been actively seen on social media platforms, people still remember him and keep tabs around what their favorite internet sensation is up to nowadays.

Khan says that he is acting as well and has recorded a few episodes of the show he is currently working on. He says that the cafe is his pride, and we all can clearly see that the young and very talented man has come a long way from where he was and still has a beautiful journey ahead.

Chai Wala also says that currently, he is in the midst of making an organization that will help those children who can’t afford to go to school. The institution will help them learn important skills so that they can survive in this tough day-to-day life.
