Hum Style Awards 2018: Best & Worst Dressed Celebrities

It is remarkable that she has made her space in the industry in such a short time with her unbeatable acting skills and talent.

A few months back, the actress revealed that she has always been bullied by the public eye because of her height. But that did not stop her from achieving her goals.

The actress took to her Instagram account and opened up about the bullies she faced in the industry for the first time.

I remember being a kid and starting off on an ad-shoot for the first time back in 2014. From that to what I have achieved today at the age of 20 is a lot of hard work not just of mine but the entire team who takes up the charge of making me appear like a goddess on-screen and on red carpet. I want to thank my team and all the fans. But most importantly I want to emphasise on being yourself, that is what is style for me. Being in public eye, the first comment anybody has on me is ‘kitni chothi si hai’ which used to hurt me but imagine if Meryl Streep could be told that she isn’t ‘beautiful’ enough for hollywood then who are we all to get affected. Stay headstrong, humble and ambitious. Love you all! ❤

She started off with the struggles she initially faced in the entertainment industry.

I remember being a kid and starting off on an ad-shoot for the first time back in 2014. From that to what I have achieved today at the age of 20 is a lot of hard work not just of mine but the entire team who takes up the charge of making me appear like a goddess on-screen and on a red carpet.

She then highlighted that people used to call her ‘chothi si’.

But most importantly I want to emphasize on being yourself, that is what is style for me. Being in the public eye, the first comment anybody has on me is ‘kitni chothi si hai’ which used to hurt me

But it is so great to see that she did not pay any attention to the trolls and did her best to make her dreams come true.

Stay headstrong, humble and ambitious. Love you all!

What a sweet and positive message she has given to all of us! It’s a bit strange to think that such a talented individual has been receiving nasty comments for her height. But at least she’s making this a positive learning opportunity for her fans.

More power to you girl!

On Monday, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ruled against private schools, barring the institutes from increasing tuition fees by more than 5%.

The decision-making panel at SHC consisted of 3 members, Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Ashraf Jehan.

The court ruled that an increase of more than 5% will be considered illegal. The court also raised concerns that the fee should not be increased unless given approval by the competent authority.

The case between parents and the concerned schools have been going on for some time now. More than 600 parents have challenged the increases in tuition fees in violation of the ordinance.

Pakistani Actress Slams Punjab Information Minister For Offensive Remarks

Earlier this week, newly-appointed Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan created an uproar when he passed obscene remarks about Pakistani female artists and private news channels.

At a mixed gathering in Lahore, the minister was heard saying that he would have transformed one of the famous actresses Nargis to Haji Nargis.

He said:

If I had the authority, I would have made Nargis offer Hajj and Megha keep as much as 300 fasts a year.

As soon as the actress heard the remarks through local news channels, she took no time to slam the minister and said that she has quit the entertainment industry and leading an ideal life at her home.

She said:

whoever this minister is, I have heard his statement and I would only like to tell him that you are on a responsible post. Choose your words rightly. Such words are not used for any woman sitting back at home.

Neither I discuss anyone nor I want any person to discuss me.

She further threatened the minister for legal action over his unacceptable remarks:

Minister sahib, every individual has respect; be careful next time or else every respectable person reserves the right to take a legal action.

As soon as he got to know her reply, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan Chohan apologized through certain news channels, a clip of which was widely shared on social media as well.

So while speaking with regard to that a word slipped my tongue about Nargis sahiba and a TV channel hyped it too much.

I apologise to Nargis sahiba from the core of my heart. She is a very respectable person, a star of Pakistan film industry and a [cultural] ambassador of Pakistan.

He also apologized to a few private news channels and said that he would be careful next time.

I also apologise to the owners and employees of Kohinoor and Royal news channels. God willing, next time caution would be exercised with regard to all these things.

Dutch Caricature Contest Canceled Post PM Imran Khan’s Video

Dutch Caricature Contest

Dutch lawmaker, Geert Wilders has canceled one of the most controversial events of the year, the Dutch Caricature Contest depicting Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Several protests broke out on social media after Wilders announced the competition in June According to tor reports, as many as 200 entries were received and the winner was to be awarded a cash prize.

Pakistan and other countries actively participated in the movement against the deeply offensive contest.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also released a video message urging Muslims nations to take prompt action against Geert Wilders.

“Our Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is in contact with ambassadors of many Muslim countries. We will lodge a strong protest and convince the West, where only a handful of elements deliberately commit this act to malign Islam.

We will be able to make the West understand that it’s not just one Muslim country taking forward the issue or one Muslim country recalling their ambassador in protest, and through a unanimous statement in the UN”. -PM Imran Khan

The PM added that he will raise this issue on all global platforms with all neighboring Muslim countries and the UN.

Consequently, following massive the Dutch Caricature Contest has now been called off.

On his official Twitter account, the lawmaker Geert Wilders shared his statement:

“The threats resulting from the cartoon contest are running out of control,”

Wilders is known for being sour towards Islam and has openly expressed his opinions and views about Muslims on his social media.

Things got out of hand very fast as several rewards and bounties were set on the controversial lawmaker’s head.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) called off their protest in Islamabad after Wilders announced the cancellation of the Dutch Caricature Contest.

The Dutch Caricature Contest has been a mockery of the most beloved individuals in the Muslim world. Not only have such contests hurt sentiments of the followers of Islam, but have also fueled the hatred and anger towards the religion.

On Tuesday, a video of both Pakistan and Indian Army officers went viral. In the video, rival officers were seen dancing together on popular Bollywood songs.

However, this has left social media in a baffled state. According to one Facebook page, if Navjot Singh Sidhu is a traitor for coming to PM Imran Khan’s ceremony, does that make the Indian Army, ‘Desh Drohis’?

Whatever it may be, it surely is great to see that both the armies have enjoyed their time together. The happiness on their faces and their priceless expressions say it all, that peace is possible if you forget the pain and live in the moment.
