PCB Prohibits Usman Shinwari & 3 Others from Playing Cricket Matches!

Pakistan Cricket Board has prohibited many cricketers from participating in future matches until they get their medical clearance.

PCB is concerned about the fitness of their players, which include Usman Shinwari, Imad Wasim, Babar Azam, and Ruman Raees.

Along these four cricketers, 8 other cricketers have also been asked not to participate in any cricket match until deemed medically fit.

Recently, Pakistan played a series with Sri Lanka, whitewashing the Lankans in T20i matches. Shinwari’s massive contribution to the matches helps Pakistan secure a massive victory.

The 23-year-old finished with 5-34 as Sri Lanka, who won the toss and batted on an easy paced Sharjah stadium pitch, never recovered from early jolts of losing four wickets in the first three overs.

According to Crictracker, PCB has been considerate towards the cricketers who are willing to play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

However, there have been conditional NOCs issued to those individuals.

On the other hand, the board has also requested the cricketers to take part in the domestic T20 series which is to start mid-November.

However, at the same time, PCB has issued special notices to skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, and a few other senior members to not participate in any other cricket match before the domestic T20 tournament.

NADRA Issues CNIC to Chinese Citizen & Pakistanis are Losing it!

Remember the time NADRA changed your birthdate? Or the time when they accidentally spelt your name wrong making you think they should change their name to Starbucks? Well, jokes apart, this time, NADRA has issued an official CNIC too a Chinese man!

A picture of a CNIC belonging to Feng Lin Cui has been going viral. According to his CNIC, the country of stay is in China, Mainland. Here’s what Pakistanis are saying;

Social Media Reactions

So, now the real question is…. was the CNIC issued because he is a Pakistani by birth, and just got a Smartcard made, or, is it because of CPEC. Well, it makes more sense to come to a conclusion that CPEC is probably the right answer.

The project has open doors for thousands of individuals across the border to come and explore hundreds of opportunities Pakistan has to offer. In a report by ET,

“A lot of industries are already saturated in China,” said Zhang, who has worked in property, electrical appliances and household goods in China and says he wants to explore the potential for setting up factories or importing Chinese goods. “Pakistan’s development is behind China, so it will hold better opportunities compared to home.”

But the new arrivals face dangers, creating a headache for Pakistani security officials.  We are yet to see what happens and how many more Chinese individuals will be getting their own CNICs as CPEC starts nearing its completion.

2. Dealing with construction permits
3. Getting electricity
4. Registering property
5. Access to finance
6. Protecting minority investors
7. Paying taxes

Win Your Dream Home in Dubai: Here’s How

With a large chunk of people working as expats outside of Pakistan, the remittances that come into the country every year make up a sizable amount of the country’s overall income.

For those who work in the UAE, this is the best time to remit money back home, Al Ansari Exchange, a UAE based foreign exchange, and money transfer company has a massive winter promotion, ‘Win Your Dream Home’  which expats must avail!

The winners can take home 1kg of gold and cash prizes worth more than DH 75,000. The promotion is reported to last for two months and has kicked off from today. The last day to take advantage of this exciting promotion is the 31st of December.

However, the bumper prize that Al Ansari Exchange is offering is an unbelievable one. Every customer who takes part in the promotion will have the chance to win the grand prize of owning a dream home worth DH 500,000 and other cash prizes as well.

There is also a bonus electronic draw that customers can enter to win 1kg gold for every second qualified transaction made within a week. Any transactions on the website and app can also be eligible to enter all draws.

Talking to Khaleej Times, the General Manager, Rashed Al Ansari of Al Ansari Exchange talks about the success of the campaign they held last year.

“The success of last year’s inaugural campaign prompted us to relaunch the “Win Your Dream Home” campaign together with bigger prizes and other chances of winning.

He further added,

Many of our customers are working hard to be able to realize their dreams, and on top of the list is owning a home. Hence, we strive to make our promotions highly relevant to what is important to our customers.”

The winter promotion is great news and as Rashed Al Ansari mentioned, owning a house/property in Dubai is something every expat dreams of and is the ultimate goal they are working towards.

For those in the UAE, this opportunity should not be missed at any cost!

Careem & Uber Fares Likely to Increase in Punjab!

Ever since ride-hailing services like Careem and Uber have been introduced in Pakistan, the convenience of travelling has improved overall.

However, if you are a daily user of either app and live in Punjab, then there might be a bad news in store for you.

The government of Punjab might increase the fares of both hailing services as per their new policy.

According to the policy, the owners will have to get all vehicles commercially registered for which they will have to pay a heftier amount, encouraging them to increase their rates.

According to Tribune, Punjab Information and Technology Board and the transport and excise departments formulated the new policy and the provincial government has approved it.

Earlier, the services were suspended because the vehicles were not registered in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Punjab board declared the services “illegal”, asking the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) to block the apps.

Lizard Found in Nimco Packet from Leading Supermarket

Pakistanis and their love for food has no bounds. Be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or tea time, we’ve got a special dish for each meal. However, the substandard quality of food in the country has everyone on the lookout for any red flags related to food items, be it in a restaurant, a supermarket or the nearby grocer.

The growing substandard food in the country has led to various eateries and superstores getting raided for the unhygienic items available. In Punjab, the Punjab Food Authority has taken control over the province’s food safety and regulations.

However, this time around it is a superstore in Karachi that has landed itself in trouble. The huge chain, Imtiaz Superstore is in hot water after a buyer posted a video on Facebook which shows a ‘Fried Lizard’ inside a ‘Nimco’ packet that was bought at the store.

The person who uploaded the video has made sure to add proof to the story including receipts of the nimco packets bought from Imtiaz.

It is a shock to see such poor quality coming from Imtiaz as it is one of the most visited stores in Karachi, where masses come to shop for their monthly ration! The public is devastated by this news as not only is this utterly disgusting but highly unsafe for human consumption.

On this matter, Senator Sajjad Hussain Turi, who is Senate Standing Committee on Health, added to this matter that a central poultry farm and public abattoir should be set up in Islamabad to ensure certified meat is provided to the residents.

He further added that this is unacceptable and action needs to be taken against individuals and organizations and those who are supplying unhealthy food on purpose.

According to RS Tech, 70,000 litres of milk has been tested by the administration and 50% of it was filled with chemicals. 208 retailers who sold this milk were issued notice and 1317 were given awareness lectures.

Posh markets in the capital like Kohsar market is also selling low standard meat. The meat is contaminated using steroids and chemicals that are extremely dangerous for the health of the people.
