Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have decided to set up a joint committee to promote collaboration in producing songs, films and documentaries. The Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture, Attaullah Tarar and Saudi Media Minister Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari reached this agreement during a meeting at the Saudi Media Forum.
Both countries also decided to expand cooperation through journalist exchange programmes and training opportunities. They stressed the need to work together against fake news and propaganda, highlighting the importance of accurate and responsible journalism.

Attaullah Tarar congratulated the Saudi Minister on organising the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum. Pakistanโs strong ties with Saudi Arabia are turning into an economic partnership. The Minister emphasised that closer cooperation will help bring stability and development to the region. He also pointed out that there are great opportunities for digital investment and technical collaboration between the two countries.
The Saudi minister reaffirmed his countryโs commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan in all sectors, including media. It was also announced that the next meeting of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council would be held in Pakistan.
