Looks like we will have to wait a little longer to see Pakistan and West Indies in action.
Unfortunately, due to the increasing concerns related to the smog which has covered Lahore, the series will no longer take place until next year.
However, this leaves us with many questions including, if Lahore is not suitable due to smog concerns what about Multan or Karachi?
Given that the attacked which was carried out on Sri Lanka almost a decade ago, the same attack which barred international cricket in Pakistan also took place in Lahore, so why aren’t PCB officials considering any other venues for the series?
PCB official stated that due to the commitment of West Indies’ players to participate in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and smog, the tour has been postponed.
“The PCB and the West Indies Cricket Board had agreed that West Indies will tour Pakistan in November, but now it is unlikely to happen because of the smog and some other reasons,” the official said.
