Ever since the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the return of PSL 2020, the internet has witnessed a flurry of activity. According to the news, the remaining four matches, the qualifier, two eliminators, and ultimately the final, will be held in mid-November.
As expected, fans of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are excited. And considering the pandemic had pushed us in uncertain times, it is understandable that the return of the event came as a surprise. The event will be conducted following the SOP down to the T, at least we hope that.
While all the matches will be held in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, the whole of Pakistan is excited. The fans of Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi may be more excited than others, but the idea of cricket is enough to get Pakistan on its toes. And that’s precisely what we witnessed on Twitter. Let’s have a look!
1. Unexpected expectations in Unexpected Times…
Tounge twister much? Well, if a pandemic can halt the world operations, airlines can pause, companies can go out of business, anything can happen. Too harsh? Well, okay. And they reached qualifier so ‘anything’ can occur. So yes, Rana Bilal (@AB18PK), we wish best of luck to Lahore Qalandars too.
#PSL2020 is back!! A good news.

Will love to see @bendunk51 in action❤❤❤❤

2. Baburao conveys it right
There are times when someone asks you how you feel, and you don’t know how to respond. And it is in these times that character like Baburao comes to the rescue. Isn’t this mighty apt, though, because this is precisely what we feel.

3. Remember the Afridi way? But this works too…
I don’t know, but the way Afridi did it, it got imprinted in my mind, but yes, the way he does it works for me too. Because at the end of the day, what matters is PSL. And it means that we are back to being glued to the screens and watching the…ahem… Karachi Kings takeover PSL.
Me after knowing that remaining PSL V matches are held in November 😍😀#PSLV pic.twitter.com/jWdFN4Cwu3

4. Support in the New Normal
This Twitter user hints at what the new supporting style amid the pandemic will look like. And it makes sense and looks safe too. Because if you are not going to be wearing masks, do it while practicing social distancing.
Pakistani fans will always find a way to support their team. These fans are standing outside Old Trafford at a nearby tram stop #ENGvPAK pic.twitter.com/FFln5oPhB8

5. Fully charged?
The pandemic has had us all down. But the user with the handle @wastingmytime is right in saying that the news has us all charged and excited.
Remaining #PSLV matches are going to held in NOV..
Meanwhile excitement level…..💓#PSL2020 pic.twitter.com/usAHdleDwl— wastingmytime (@Arslan62572201) September 2, 2020
We are all very excited. Not only is it the return of PSL 2020, but also the fact that life may be returning to normal finally. Whatever that normal now means. But it shows that we persevered through some callous times. And we are ready to face what life may present in the future.
