Pakistan’s very own Dania Hassan has made the entire nation very proud!
The 18-year-old was awarded theĀ ‘Emerging Young Leaders’ Award for her work as partners for peace and drivers of economic growth and opportunity.
Dania, along with 9 other individuals from across the globe, were recognized for their efforts in a ceremony held in Washington by the US State Department.
The award symbolizes the positive role these young people play in building sustainable peace, according to US Department of State.
Dania wishes to improve the quality of education currently being provided to the youth in Pakistan.Ā After attending summer school at Johns Hopkins University via the US Summer Sisters Exchange Program in 2016, she established an organization called āFun to Learn,ā where volunteers conduct extracurricular programming in underprivileged schools.
The team teaches important topics including the importance of health and hygiene, environmental awareness, school safety, emergency preparedness, self-defense, and going green.
