The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially revealed the men’s squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup on Friday. The team will be led by the prolific batsman, Babar Azam. In an anticipated alteration, Hasan Ali has been selected to replace Naseem Shah in the 15-member World Cup squad. Naseem Shah sustained a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup 2023 and has been ruled out of international cricket for three to four months until recovered.
Hasan Ali’s last appearance in an ODI match for Pakistan was in 2022 against West Indies in Multan. Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the squad at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
