In a swift move, he directed officials to maintain the existing match fees, ensuring that players competing in the National T20 tournament wouldn’t suffer financially.
This decision comes after reports surfaced that match fees were set to be slashed from PKR 100,000 per match to just PKR 10,000—a drastic drop that had many cricketers and fans worried.
Even more shocking was the rumored cut for reserve players, who were reportedly going to receive just PKR 5,000 per game.

Thankfully, Mohsin Naqvi wasn’t having any of it. He acted immediately, instructing Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi to ensure that no reductions take place.
“The PCB Chairman has immediately halted any reduction in match fees for all players in the National T20 tournament,” a PCB spokesperson confirmed. “Additionally, an immediate review of match fees has been ordered.”
