The stadium turned into a lively arena when over 10,000 young cricketers arrived for Zalmi’s Talent Hunt. Muhammad Akram expressed his delight, saying, “The enthusiasm of the youth is heartwarming.”

Initially, the plan was to conduct trials on the first day and hold matches over the next three days at Hayatabad Stadium. However, due to the overwhelming turnout, the trials will now extend to the second day as well. Muhammad Akram remarked that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar have always been rich in cricketing talent, and the same was evident during this Talent Hunt. He repeated Peshawar Zalmi’s commitment to hosting PSL matches in Peshawar and urged the provincial government and PCB to schedule Pakistan Super League Season 10 matches at Arbab Niaz Stadium. “This will allow young cricketers here to see their team in action,” he added.

Provincial Minister of Sports Fakhar Jahan also visited the stadium to observe the trials and appreciated Peshawar Zalmi’s efforts. He stated that the provincial government is doing its utmost to ensure PSL 10 matches are held in Peshawar. Talks between Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi are underway in this regard.
