At a meeting led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Monday, significant decisions about aid for the poor and middle class were made. It was decided that the government would take all reasonable steps to protect motorcycle and rickshaw drivers from inflation, according to the prime minister, who claimed that they are among the economically disadvantaged members of society.
Senior officials from key departments, including the former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar, adviser to the prime minister Ahad Cheema, minister of state for petroleum Dr. Mossadegh Malik, and others, attended the meeting.
The federal government has now decided to provide gasoline for motorbikes and rickshaws at a discounted price. The conference, which was briefed on the inexpensive gasoline supply for motorcycles and rickshaws, was presided over by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. According to the Prime Minister, having a backup strategy is helpful in case something goes wrong.
The program will ensure that rickshaws and motorcyclists can always find affordable petrol. The Prime Minister has also decided to carry out the free flour distribution program for Islamabad’s lower and middle classes during Ramadan One million people will get free flour during Ramadan.
The Prime Minister ordered that 8,500 utility stores and an extra 20,000 distribution locations be set up for the benefit of the general public in order to ensure the efficient distribution of flour and the use of new technologies to make the distribution of free flour transparent has also been ordered by the prime minister.
