After Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat’s term ended on December 8, Khurram Mushtaq became the acting CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Corporation Limited. The Board of Directors of PIA met and reached the decision. Amanullah Qureshi, Ammar Ali, and Khurram Mushtaq were the three nominees who were ultimately selected for the position.

One of PIA’s highest-ranking officers, Khurram Mushtaq, offers a wealth of aviation knowledge to the role. Throughout his career, he has served as the head of several important divisions within the national carrier, such as security and vigilance, flight services, airport services and commercial operations. On Sunday, Amir Hayat, who has been acting as CEO on deputation, will finish his term. The acting CEO will assume charge immediately following Amir Hayat’s tenure.
