It comes to us as a surprise that almost 8,000 students in Pakistan who had been nominated for the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme from various universities are yet to receive their laptops.
In order to be fair to these students and give them what they have worked for, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has set a deadline of 15th December of this year.
According to an HEC official, the authority has ordered the laptops to be delivered to the students before this deadline.
Furthermore, the official shared that almost 400,000 students have benefitted from the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, but 8,000 students across the country were still pending.
The official shared:
The students had been selected on merit basis but they couldn’t get their laptops due to different reasons.
The official also shared that if the students were unable to get their laptops, they will be given to other children.
