A new survey shows that most Punjab residents have a positive view of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, especially in education, healthcare and infrastructure. However, people remain concerned about employment and inflation.
The Institute of Public Opinion Research (IPOR) conducted the survey across 36 districts in Punjab. It found that 62% of respondents rated Maryam Nawaz’s first year in office as “remarkable” for solving public issues.
In education, 73% of people gave the government a “good” or “very good” rating, while 68% did the same for healthcare. On the other hand, 63% expressed disappointment with job creation efforts, rating them as “poor” or “very poor.”
Overall, 57% of respondents said governance had improved over the past year, while 17% felt it had declined. The same percentage believed the government had addressed major public concerns effectively.
