[Update: November 5th, 2021]: 2022’s installment of QS Asia University rankings list is out. This is yet again a proud moment for Pakistan because, within three years, we have risen quite some ranks. In 2018, the same list featured 23 Pakistani universities. Today, it has 47 Pakistani universities gracing the list.

Considering these universities made to the same list as the universities in China which is known for its investments in education, this is a major achievement.
[October 25, 2018]: The prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds- QS Asia University Rankings 2019 are out and Pakistani universities have performed better in the list this year.
Amongst top 500 institutes in Asia, as many as 23 Pakistani varsities have made it to the rankings. Last year, only 16 prominent universities represented our nation in the list.
THE World University Rankings 2019: Pakistani Universities Disappoint!
This year the top honors went to National University of Singapore (NUS), followed by the University of Hong Kong and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU).

Leading the list is NUST and LUMS who have improved their rankings from last year and have made it to the top 100.
NUST has moved its spot from 112 to 87, while LUMS has climbed high from 103 up to 95.

New entrants included Bahria University Islamabad and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIU) in 351-400 band, University of Sargodha and the University of Sindh in the 401-450 band, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), University of Central Punjab (UCP) and University of Management and Technology Lahore (UMT) in the 451-500 band.
