During a visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara shared that the European Union (EU) and Pakistan could launch joint ventures in a number of sectors asides textile.
She shared that Pakistan needs to step up when it comes to the quality of their products so that they can meet the competitive brands on the shelves.
She further said that an increase in Pakistan’s exports are because of the duty-free access to Pakistani products under GSP Plus.
She added that the EU is ready to help Pakistan expand its exports and is likely to
be partners in this regard in the near future.

The EU has pledged that it will continue to engage with its partners like Pakistan to address the common challenge of climate change through mutual approach to find a sustainable solution.
Furthermore, Kaminara pointed out that the EU and Pakistan have already signed the Strategic Engagement Plan in June to boost relations in diverse fields.
Reportedly, the LCCI president shared that it is a salient feature of Pakistan’s trade with the Union, almost 71% of total exports sent to EU are with five countries,- UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, and Italy.
