Saman Ansari is the name to reckon with Lollywood and featuring in many dramas, she has done wonders. She is very well known for her versatility and elegant drama acts and she has featured in several television serials, which are well received both nationally and internationally.
Recently, she was the guest of Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where she shared one of the most important chapters of her life – the divorce after 16 years of her first marriage.
Open About Her Divorce.
While discussing her past life in the podcast, the main character, Saman Ansari described her divorce, especially the difficulties of not wanting to change her son’s life around. Pakistani culture does not accept divorce, she also said that she could not wish to move back to Pakistan as it might bring disgrace to parents if they came to visit her.
“My son was just six years old when the marriage ended,” Ansari said. “At the time, I was studying in Canada. then, I moved to the United States in an attempt to rekindle the marriage, but it did not work since they moved to Canada due to the change of his job. I tried so hard to make the marriage work but realised it wouldn’t, so I moved to Dubai.”

On this, Saman Ansari had to justify why she relocated to Dubai, the experience of dealing with several countries legal systems. For instance, she said: ‘Every government has its own laws’. “In Canada there is a rule that the child has to stick with the father and go on going to the same school he was already going to. In my case, I was fine with that.”
However, to return to Pakistan she could not endure such a life any longer which made the only viable option to move abroad possible. ”There is always people in Pakistan spying into other people’s affairs” she said. When I went back there, everyone was toxic, they were toxic to me, people would say I left my son so I should go back so I took permision from parents and they allowed me to go to Dubai.
Dubai – Starting A New Life
Currently living in Dubai, Saman Ansari still has her professional life in motion and rises up for the challenges of life with full spirit. In the podcast episode, she was a wonderful guest for the host because she shared her life experience of struggles women should encounter during and after the divorce especially if they live in a society with high cultural standards.
