Samsung Galaxy Fold users have reported that some of them have broken screen in just a day or two after receiving the phone for review say journalists and other reviewers.
Mark Gurman took it to Twitter to express his feelings about his experience with his phone. He writes: “the screen on my Galaxy Fold review unit is completely broken and unusable just two days in. Hard to know if this is widespread or not.”
“The phone comes with this protective layer/film. Samsung says you are not supposed to remove it. I removed it, not knowing you’re not supposed to (consumers won’t know either). It appeared removable in the left corner, so I took it off. I believe this contributed to the problem”
It has gotten progressively worse. Here’s the latest, photo taken now. One photo is from last night. Other photo is earlier this morning. pic.twitter.com/qzmlM0a3pL

Priced for a whopping $2,000 the phone’s durability was already a concern many individuals had when it was first presented to the world.
YouTuber Marques Brownlee said: “PSA: There’s a layer that appears to be a screen protector on the Galaxy Fold’s display. It’s NOT a screen protector. Do NOT remove it. I got this far peeling it off before the display spazzed and blacked out. Started over with a replacement.”

The screen has a warning label reading ‘ATTENTION – The main screen includes a special protective layer. Peeling off the protective layer or using any adhesives on the main screen, such as screen protectors or stickers, may cause damage.
