One of the most awaited matches for the ICC World Cup 2019 between India and Pakistan is all set to take place on June 16th in Manchester.
Tension and excitement are felt on both sides of the border and all other activities literally comes to a standstill.
Brands often take the opportunity to create campaigns around the rivalry between the two countries especially when it comes to the game of cricket when the field becomes a battle ground. Recently a number of sponsors from both sides of the border are leaving no chance to create hype around the game.

Jazz recently revealed a video featuring a model resembling Indian wing commander Abhinandan, who was captured by Pakistani military after the Balakot airstrike.
He was interviewed by the military whilst sipping tea and answering some questions. The video was later released to the public.
The video created a stir on social media and people just couldn’t stop talking about it.

Soon after, an Indian Brand unveiled an ad which also initiated a debate on the internet. The advertisement features India as the father of Pakistan and Bangladesh as the game is scheduled on Father’s Day.

Both the ads caught the attention of the world famous tennis star Sania Mirza who felt rather strongly about the unnecessary hype surrounding the Pakistan-India clash labelling the advertising as “cringe worthy “.
Sania Mirza took to her Twitter account and wrote: Â
Cringeworthy ads on both sides of the border seriously guys, you don’t need to ‘hype up’ or market the match anymore specially with rubbish! it has ENOUGH attention already! It’s only cricket for God sake, and if you think it’s any more than that then get a grip or get a life !!.
