The Latif Kapadia Memorial Welfare Trust (LKMWT) has inaugurated its fourth Non-Profit Medi-Health Clinic in Khuda Ki Basti, Surjani Town, Karachi, with the goal of delivering affordable healthcare services to Pakistan’s impoverished population. The clinic was opened by the famous Mr. Anwar Maqsood and LKMWT Chairman Mr. Ahmed Kapadia.
Praising the Medical Facilities and Efforts of Latif Kapadia
During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Maqsood lauded the clinic’s high standard of medical facilities and recalled the late Latif Kapadia’s dedication to improving the lives of people and the community. He praised the project and stressed the need of similar initiatives, stating that the inhabitants of Surjani Town and nearby areas will now have access to high-quality medical care at a low cost.
The newly established LKMWT clinic is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and provides free medical consultations, diagnostic testing, and medication to residents of Surjani Town and surrounding areas. The clinic embodies Late Mr. Latif Kapadia’s aim of providing basic healthcare amenities to underserved people. LKMWT and its volunteers worked tirelessly to complete the project within a year of laying the foundation stone.
Mr. Ahmed Kapadia Commits to Continuing LKMWT’s Welfare Initiative
Mr. Ahmed Kapadia, Chairman of LKMWT, expressed gratitude to LKMWT donors and volunteers for their contributions, as well as Mr. Gulzar Mughal for providing the clinic’s land. He also acknowledged the efforts of other LKMWT trustees, particularly Mr. Sabir Sami, and committed to carry on the trust’s goal by managing this welfare initiative and expanding its future medical capacities.
The LKMWT’s fourth Non-Profit Medi-Health Clinic shows the trust’s commitment to delivering affordable healthcare services to underprivileged communities in Pakistan, as well as its commitment to carrying out the goal of its late founder, Latif Kapadia.
Since its inception in 2007, the trust has provided medical services to underserved communities. LKWMT had previously developed world-class health clinics in Shah Faisal Colony, Khokhrapar-Malir, and Quaidabad-Landhi. These clinics offer medical examinations, consultations, and drugs for as little as Rs. 40 per patient. Almost 120,000 patients visit these Medi-Health clinics each year.
Carrying on Latif Kapadia’s Dream: LKWMT’s Holistic Vision
LKWMT’s purpose is to carry on ‘Latif Kapadia’s’ dream of bridging the gap between quality medical facilities and poor sectors of society. The trust will continue to strive for the welfare of society by promoting education, relieving poverty, and combating socioeconomic difficulties, in addition to setting the way for a high-quality healthcare ecosystem within the trust’s purview.
