Shabnam Majeed is well-known for both her beautiful charm and her pleasing voice. Her notable songs include Jugnuon Se Bhar Le Aanchal, Dil Cheez Hai Kiya Jaana, La Phir Ek Baar Woh, Tere Ishq Ki Intiha Chahta Hun, Supreme Ishq Anarkali and others.
Recently, Shabnam Majeed appeared in Suno TV’s show Suno To Sahi, hosted by Hina Niazi. During her time there, they discussed several things. One notable subject of discussion was the viral success of Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s rendition of the classic song Bado Badi. In the show, she opened up about Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s smooth success and expressed her disappointment. She went on to express a deeper sense of frustration. Furthermore, she stated that seeing such viral successes for songs that did not meet her standards of musical excellence made her question the value of her work. She also reflected on the broader trend of certain artists gaining rapid success or going viral on social media platforms. Sometimes for reasons that she felt were not related to the quality of their art.
“A song recently went viral; I think it crossed 27 million in a week. It was Madam Noor Jahan’s song, and he didn’t sing well; it was a ripoff of a brilliant song, and it was shocking to see the views. You get disappointed in your excellent work after seeing such examples. Many artists go viral for nothing,” she stated, talking about the viral song Bado Badi.
