That said, it seems that there is a new interim chief for the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Shah Khawar, appointed as the interim PCB chief, assumed his responsibilities on Wednesday at the PCB headquarters in Lahore. This is quite a big role with shoes to fill that are themselves quite ample. Additionally, the PCB chief has to control the fire that comes from all fronts, and make sure to navigate the waters peacefully. It is a responsibility-filled role that requires making tough decisions.
PCB Chief And The Work
Khawar will be in charge until the PCB elections, overseeing important matters with briefings from officials. Upon his arrival, Khawar was greeted by PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, directors, and staff who presented him with flowers. After all, a person in such a designation must have a credible profile, otherwise they wouldn’t be there.
Mohsin Naqvi, the current nominee for PCB chief, will now serve as a member of the governing board until the elections. The Board of Governors formation announcement is imminent, and the elections, where Naqvi will contest for chairman, are expected within a month. The battle can be tough and the competition is high, but we hope to see a PCB chief who will do nothing but good for the team and the establishment.
