If there is one thing we Pakistanis love, even more than delicious food, it is cricket! The sport runs through our veins like it was a drug keeping us alive!

Over the years, we have seen many new talents make a name for themselves, old ones bid farewell to the game, and lots of them make it to the news for controversial reasons!

Since having relationships with women, sending them explicit images, or an unexpected victory against the biggest rival, our cricketers are something.

However, the most recent cricketer to make it to the news is none other than our very own ‘Boom Boom’ Shahid Afridi. We have seen countless times how Afridi has treated women. He has talked about the opposite gender several times as he is a father to beautiful girls and a faithful husband.

But, one facial has him in hot waters as fans call out that he should not have gotten it by a woman.

Afridi, once during an interview, also shared that he will not allow his daughters to play professional sports because of religious purposes. He even refused to shake hands with a female cheque presenter on live television.

Hence, netizens pointed out that Shahid Afridi is all about religion and respecting women and keeping at a distance from them, then how could he have allowed a woman who isn’t his wife nor daughter to give him a facial?

However, there were a few who didn’t think the facial was a big deal and that social media was blowing things out of proportion for no reason.

Not too long ago, Afridi was called out on social media for having an alleged relationship with Bollywood actress Zareen Khan.

Many rumors indicated both of them were to tie the knot. However, Khan eared the air in a statement saying that she has always been a fan of the cricketer from his very first match, and that’s all she is – a fan.

“Came across a senseless post that’s doing rounds on social media abt @SAfridiOfficial n me. He is a complete family man and a true gentleman.  I wud request ppl not to pay heed to fake news and encourage such stupidity.  #Shame #CheckFacts #GetALife,” wrote Zareen Khan on her Twitter handle.

All eyes are now on Shahid Afridi. Fans are now eagerly waiting for Afridi to clear the air about having double standards when it comes to having certain principals that only apply to some individuals.
