On March 15, 2023, the financial results of Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) for the fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2022, were disclosed by the board of directors of the business. In contrast to its profit of PKR 4,467 million in 2021, the business reported a loss after taxes of PKR 72 million for 2022.

Throughout the year, SPL stayed committed to operational excellence and managed costs while maintaining its emphasis on business principles, employee safety, and environmental protection. In order to retain a competitive advantage, there were also substantial investments made in both infrastructure and brand building.

In order to improve client experience, SPL expanded its footprint and opened 31 retail stations, 28 Generation-5 Shell Select locations, and 25 new Shell Car Wash facilities with Tyre Care. The business took the lead in the sector in modifying customer attitudes and behaviours regarding refuelling safety. The business raised awareness of the dangers of remaining seated in their vehicles while filling up with fuel through a safety campaign called “Ehtiyaat Bunay Hifazat” targeted at 2 and 3-wheelers.

In cooperation with partners HANDS and NRSP, SPL gave humanitarian aid to flood victims by providing relief to 2,771 households with roughly 19,397 inhabitants during the country’s floods. One-room shelters, ration bags, medical assistance, hygiene supplies, and shelter packages were among the relief efforts that supported rehabilitation.

SPL keeps putting emphasis on creating aggressive business plans that will produce top-quartile business results and be crucial in Pakistan’s future energy development.
