On Instagram, the cricketer celebrated his third marriage with Pakistani actor Sana Javed. Sharing his sentiments on social media, Malik posted photos from their wedding ceremony on Saturday, January 20, captioning the announcement with the words, “Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs.”

Soon after his post went viral, Tennis star Sania Mirza’s sister Anum Mirza took to social media to share their side of the story finally confirming speculations about the couple’s divorce. She further asked for privacy during this challenging time for her sister.

Shoaib Malik’s First Wife 

Before marrying Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik’s past stirred significant controversy when a woman named Ayesha Siddiqui, also known as Maha Siddiqui, asserted that the Pakistani cricketer was already married to her. The controversy unfolded as it was claimed that Shoaib intended to marry Sania without finalizing a divorce from his supposed first wife, Ayesha/Maha Siddiqui, who was a teacher from Hyderabad.

Later, Ayesha reportedly filed a police complaint against Shoaib, accusing him of cheating, and disclosed their marriage in 2002, providing video clips as evidence. Initially seeking only a divorce, she eventually received INR 15 crore as alimony from Shoaib. Despite initial denials, Shoaib officially divorced Ayesha Siddiqui in April 2010, facilitated by 10 to 15 mediators who played a crucial role in the negotiations between the two parties before the divorce was finalized, just days before his marriage to Sania.
