The Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control department were going to launch a ‘Road Checking Campaign’ to recover tax from tax-defaulting vehicles from February 07 to February 18 in the metropolis. The drive will collect tax from the default vehicles’ owners.
Location
The road checking will take place around 37 locations in the city. These places included Korangi Industrial Area, Brook Chowrangi, Singer Chowrangi, DHA Cemetery, Sunset Boulevard Road, Toba Masjid, Site, Manghopir Road, Banaras Chowrangi, Hub River Road, Mazar e Quaid, Shahra-e-Qaedin, Muslimabad, Gulistan School, Khara Dar, Kemari, Queens Road, Clifton Bath Island, Shaheen Complex, PIDC, Mai Kolachi Bypass, Malir Cantonment, Landhi Industrial Area, Saudabad, Khokhrapar, PIB Colony, Teen Hatti, Soldier Bazaar, Lasbela, Johar Chowrangi, Metro Cash & Carry, Time Square, Pahlawan Goth, F.B Area, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad and North Karachi.

The Meeting Details
The decision was taken at a gathering chaired by Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Secretary Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Management Division Atif Rehman, Director Generals Iqbal Ahmad Leghari, Aurangzeb Panhwar earlier this week.
The assembly determined to take action in opposition to the homeowners of tax defaulting autos. It is knowledgeable that action could be taken against homeowners of an open letter as well as unregistered and tax defaulting autos in the course of the highway checking campaign.

Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla requested the owners while addressing a meeting. He said that owners must deposit their due taxes to avoid any untoward situation.
In light of the issue, Mukesh Kumar Chawla said, “There is a facility to deposit vehicle tax online. Owners of tax defaulting vehicles can visit the Excise Department’s website. The details are available at www.excise.gos.pk of their due taxes.”
Further adding that being law-abiding citizens, owners of the vehicles should pay their tax immediately.
