Karachi’s electric bus service, which had been suspended for nearly two months due to charger malfunctions, is set to resume today (Monday), according to Sindh Information and Transport Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon.
The minister announced that the chargers for the electric buses have arrived, allowing the buses to operate on Karachi’s roads once again.
Memon highlighted the efforts of the provincial government in modernizing public transport facilities and revealed that a new fleet of buses would be added to the service.
Additionally, he praised the recently launched Peoples Bus Service (PBS) app, which enables passengers to track the movement of buses in real-time. The electric bus service was halted previously due to the malfunctioning of EV chargers on two routes.
