As reported on Sunday, by Ary digital, the Sindh government wants the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against people spreading fabricated audiotapes.
The audiotapes are “baseless” in which traders are allegedly accusing the government of taking bribes to keep their businesses running.
A letter has been written to FIA to take action against the guilty. The action will be taken under the cybercrime law. Such fabrication of the truth is an effort to irreparably damage its reputation says the provincial government.
The tapes were shared on twitter by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh. Evidence has also been provided against the culprits.
Murtaza Wahab, who is the Sindh Government spokesperson had rejected the allegations against the government. The allegations stated that the government was taking bribes from traders to allow them to reopen their businesses during coronavirus lockdown.
He further added that these tapes are fabricated and full of lies. People are well aware of the propagandists against the government.
