South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bat first in the second and final Test against Pakistan at Newlands. “Itโs hot, and we expect the wicket to break up; we want to finish the series on a good note,” Bavuma stated.
Pakistan captain Shan Masood expressed satisfaction with bowling first, saying, “A bit less grass than usual (on the wicket), but we would have had a bowl anyway. Both teams got what they wanted.”

South Africa has made three changes, including a historic debut for 18-year-old fast bowler Kwena Maphaka, who becomes the youngest Test player in the nationโs history. Spinner Keshav Maharaj returns from injury, replacing Corbin Bosch, while Wiaan Mulder replaces the injured Tony de Zorzi.
For Pakistan, Mir Hamza replaces Naseem Shah in the only change to their lineup. South Africa aims to wrap up the series 2-0, having already secured their spot in the World Test Championship final at Lordโs this June.
