Strong Winds Expected in Karachi on Dec 24 and 25

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz predicted that Karachi, the port city, is going to have strong northeast winds on the 24th and 25th of December with speeds of 25-35 km/h. There is likely to be a drastic drop in temperatures with the high temperatures ranging between 25ยฐC during the day to low temperatures of about 9ยฐC to 11ยฐC at night.

The current sequence of cold conditions has already produced single-digit temperatures in Karachi multiple times in the month of December. The situation is not confined to Karachi only, even Balochistan is facing severe cold weather where Quetta recorded 5 degrees Celsius, Kalat 4 degrees Celsius, Zhob 4 degree Celsius and Ziarat 7 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, parts of Lahore and Mirpur AJK received their first winter rain on Monday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts more light showers in Punjab’s capital in the next 24 hours.

Adding to the winter charm, snowfall has begun in Murree, marking the season’s first. The changing weather patterns reflect the onset of a chilling winter across the region.
