Suzuki’s assembly of the Every microvan in Pakistan grabs attention, with two versions – VX and VXR on offer. Key distinctions are noted between the local Every and its Japanese equivalent previously imported into the market. Japanese Suzuki Every (JDM Version)
The imported Japanese Suzuki Every, particularly the JOIN model, enjoys high acclaim in Pakistan even with accident-repaired units. Its feature rich elements overshadow those in the locally assembled version making it a favored pick.
With advanced safety measures like lane departure alerts, hill hold and brake assist features, the JDM version scores high on the safety index. Additionally, it offers retractable side mirrors, USB Type-C charging port and a 7-inch infotainment setup which are absent in the local VXR version.
As far as power performance is concerned, it’s turbocharged R06A2 engine shows superior promise with 48 HP and 60 Nm of torque versus the locally assembled Every’s 43 HP and 58 Nm torque.
Suzuki Every Locally Assembled (VX and VXR)
Contrarily, the local Suzuki Every is a basic, wallet-friendly choice. Its R06A engine borrowed from Alto offers fundamental features such as airbags, ABS and an immobilizer. Yet, in its VX model, even rudimentary amenities like an MP3 player or AC are missing.
Though the VXR is more fitted than the VX, it fails to compete with the Japanese version in terms of advanced tech and safety provisions. It does include rudimentary power windows, keyless entry and power steering but falls behind on advanced aspects.
Which Should You Choose?
The choice between the two boils down to the driver priorities. If one wants a feature-packed vehicle and can handle the risks of buying a refurbished import, the Japanese Suzuki Every offers unmatched comfort and technology. However, if peace of mind and a lower price tag are the top priorities, the locally assembled Suzuki Every VXR is a solid, albeit simpler, option.
