Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa made his first official visit to Saudi Arabia on Sunday, marking a significant step in enhancing relations between Damascus and Riyadh.
Alongside, President Al-Sharaa, Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani was part of the delegation, reflecting the high-level diplomatic relations between the countries.
President Al-Sharaa was warmly welcomed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh by Prince Mohammad bin Abdulrahman, the deputy Emir of Riyadh.
During the two-day visit to Riyadh, the Syrian President also met with Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to have a conversation about strengthening relations and securing assistance for lifting international sanctions on Syria.

Both countries discussed ways to enhance Syria’s security and stability, as well as opportunities for cooperation across multiple sectors. They also exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing efforts to address them, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Saudi crown prince extended congratulations to Al-Sharaa for taking office as Syriaโs President and wished him success in meeting the aspirations of the Syrian people.
