Tanveer’s post read, “Gift for India team losing the ODI series – Gautam Gambhir.” He followed this up with another jab: “Next time india walon ko bolain gay achi team ley kar Ana,” which roughly translates to, “Next time, tell the Indians to bring a better team.”
Sri Lanka’s historic triumph was sealed with a commanding 110-run victory at the R Premadasa Stadium. The series ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of Sri Lanka. The first game ended in a tie, while the second saw Sri Lanka edge out India by 32 runs, thanks to a stellar performance by spinner Jeffrey Vandersay.
