Tesla has stirred excitement among investors and fans by hinting that 2025 will be full of exciting new product launches. These plans are detailed in a Deutsche Bank memo that InsideEVs obtained after speaking with Travis Axelrod, Tesla’s head of investor relations, at Deutsche Bank’s Autonomous Driving Day. Hereโs what we know so far.
A Budget EV: The “Model Q”
One of the most talked-about announcements is a new electric vehicle, nicknamed “Model Q” by Deutsche Bank (not Tesla). This EV is expected to be Teslaโs most affordable offering yet. Its starting price will be under $30,000 after federal tax incentives. Without these incentives, the price could rise to about $37,499.
By making its technology more widely available, Tesla hopes to establish itself as a powerful competitor in the economical EV industry. Despite the lack of specifics, it is evident that Tesla is aiming for affordability without compromising on innovation.
A Three-Row SUV to Expand the Market
Tesla is also working on a larger, three-row SUV designed for families or those who need extra space. It will feature a longer wheelbase than the current Model Y and is expected to debut in the second half of 2025.
Tesla hopes to attract customers who had previously disregarded the brand due to the unavailability of larger car options. Details for other markets are yet unknown, although there have been discussions on whether this SUV would be integrated with the updated Model Y “Juniper” (which is making its debut in China first).

Tesla Robotaxi: The Real Game-Changer
Perhaps the most significant launch of 2025 is Tesla’s Robotaxi, also known as the “CyberCab,” whichย has the potential to completely transform Tesla’s business strategy.
The goal is to create affordable vehiclesย that function as self-driving taxis, which should cost between $20,000 and $30,000 to build. This will allow Tesla and its owners to make passive revenue. With its low-cost, straightforward gear that uses cameras rather than pricey sensors like Lidar, Tesla aims to outperform rivals like Waymo and Cruise. However, upgrading the technology and negotiating the laws and regulations will be difficult.
Teslaโs 2025 lineup promises to be a turning point, with a mix of affordable cars, family-friendly SUVs, and groundbreaking autonomous vehicles. While there are still many unanswered questions, such as pricing, timelines, and market rollouts, itโs clear the company is gearing up to solidify its position as a leader in electric and autonomous vehicles. One thing is for sure, investors and fans have plenty to look forward to.
