This just in— the Harry Potter saga is about to get a new addition! The legendary cast is all set to return in January of the upcoming new year and it’s going to be a treat for all. This is the best news people have received in a while and this is all you need to know about it:
What’s Going On?
The original cast of Harry Potter is going to be reunited on the 20th anniversary of the films. An HBO Max special has been made titled “Return to Hogwarts” and it’s going to release on new year’s! Could this get any better?
The legendary cast including but definitely not limited to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will join American filmmaker Chris Columbus for the exploration of the film. Moreover, the special film will invite fans “on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time”. First-person? We’re definitely intrigued.
Why It’s So Special
This programme has been announced exactly 20 years later from when the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was released. Since then, the fans of this movie chain have reached hundreds of millions and we can understand why. So far, a 52-second trailer has been released. It features clips from several of the world-famous films and promises to bring them back to where “the magic began”.

The trio will be joined by all the characters we love and hate: Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane. Moreover, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, and Tom Felton!

The Hype Is Building
Felton, who plays the very annoying Malfoy, has started building hype. They’re turning to Twitter to get the word out! “Is this what school homecoming is like?” he wrote on Twitter.

Matt Lewis who is known for his portrayal of the very pitiful Neville Longbottom also made a tweet about it!
The executive producer, Casey Patterson said that there is magic in the air with just the entire cast on set alone. The special is being made to honour the legacy the Harry Potter brand has built and has shaped so many childhoods. We, for one, can not wait patiently until the day is here. It’s already feeling magical.
