Toyota Staying Crowned
The Japanese company witnessed a notable 7.2% surge in global group sales last year, which includes subsidiaries like Hino Motors and Daihatsu, driven by a remarkable performance in overseas markets where they sold 8.9 million vehicles. Daihatsu is one of the most sought after companies in Pakistan due to the 660cc production vehicles. The Daihatsu Mira, Boon and Move are some of the most popular cars in the country.
Despite facing challenges, including supply chain disruptions, Volkswagen Group, Toyota’s closest competitor, experienced a 12% increase in deliveries in 2023, totaling 9.2 million cars, marking a recovery from the pandemic’s impact. Toyota’s core brands, namely Toyota and Lexus, contributed significantly to the record sales, reaching 10.3 million vehicles in 2023.
