Train services in Balochistan have resumed after a 16-day suspension following a terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. This marked a major step towards restoring normal operations.
Federal Minister Amir Muqam was present at the station to see off passengers and offer prayers for their safe journey. The Jaffar Express is carrying 280 passengers, including 28 travelling directly from Peshawar to Quetta. It is scheduled to complete its 34-hour journey and arrive in Quetta by 5 PM the following day.
The train has been decorated with the national flag, colourful banners and balloons to highlight its importance. It will pass through Punjab and Sindh before reaching Balochistan, making it the only train connecting all four provinces.
