As people wait for the last episode, a controversy surrounding baaghi is circulating over social media. A known social activist and lawyer, Nighat Dad took to Facebook to highlight the exploitation of Qandeel’s story by the Baaghi producers.
However, Urdu1 the makers of Baaghi have responded to all such rumours claiming they are Baseless and Wrong!
Nighat Dad mentions how Qandeel’s parents are going through financial crises due to the ongoing court issues. Dad also asked people to come forward and help them through this tough time.
However, what she said next caused quite the controversy and ignited rumours on Baaghi and its producers.
Dad mentions how the drama has made profit while Qandeel’s Parents continue to suffer.
“Before you watch #Baaghi’s last episode tomorrow please know that drama that made its massive profit out of Qandeel’s plight, did only bother to send few men who told poor parents that we are going to write a book on her and only gave 50k to them as a support a year ago and btw they are legally covered under disclaimer.”
Urdu1 Responds to Social Media Rumours!
The rumours were caught on by the Head of Programming and General Manager at Urdu1, Nina Kashif and she decided to put them to rest. She clarified that the rumors were false and baseless and explained that the drama producers took permission from Qandeel’s parents. They were also compensated with an amount that they asked for.
“I am shocked to see such baseless rumours being spread by someone who has no basis for this. All the information that is being falsely spread is WRONG and BASELESS. it would be nice if people can have their facts checked before making baseless allegations.”
