Escaping Through Travel
In the interview, Usama revealed that a friend encouraged him to leave Pakistan for a while to explore the world and refocus his priorities. “There’s so much more to see and experience outside of Pakistan,” his friend had said, a sentiment that resonated deeply with him after a tough breakup during a high point in his career.

A New Life in Dubai
Usama shifted to Dubai back in 2015, he explained that staying far away from family was not at all easyย and since Whatsapp calling was not an option, communication became infrequent; thus, distances were created between him and his family as well as his friends.
For three months of the year, he survived only on his savings and some pocket money, finding Dubai to be a place of “hard work, hard play and fast-paced life.”ย This was due to him being jobless in an unknown city, without his family.
Usama reflected on his journey by saying, “It is easier to see others succeed than to understand their struggles. Life in Dubai taught me that you must keep running to keep up.”
