Acting President and Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani have proposed a visa-free regime amongst Asian nations.
In a bid to expand socio-economic ties with the Asian countries, the Chairman expressed the need to materialize the dream of an Asian Parliament.
He stated:
We need to move forward by introducing a visa-free regime among Asian countries
Addressing the members of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Standing Committee on Political Affairs in Gawadar, he stated that, all Asian countries must unite and collaborate for the sustainable development of Asia.
The parliamentary delegations included Turkey, Bahrain, East Timor, France, Iran, Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) and APA Secretary-General and others.
While talking to the parliamentary delegation of Turkey, Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan and Turkey had played an active role on the platform of APA and there was a need to further boost this cooperation. He also requested Turkish investors to invest in different sectors in Gwadar.
In meeting with delegations from Nepal, Bahrain, Syria and East Timor, Sadiq Sanjrani highlighted the need for collaboration between parliaments and to work on developing people to people linkages.
