In the past days, Karachi has welcomed rain in various parts of the metropolis. A news report by ARY News reveals that the while the weather will remain hot and dry in the city, some areas are likely to receive rain, light and heavy, in the upcoming twenty-four hours.
According to reports by Pakistan Metrological Department, moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is affecting most upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Thursday.
Hence, rain is expected in few places along Sindh and Makran coast during the next twenty hours.

Pre-monsoon rains predicted in the country this week
Met-Office informed that pre-monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in Pakistan from Monday that will produce rains in upper & central parts of the country such as:
- Rain/dust-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions and Islamabad from Monday to Friday. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions on Wednesday/Thursday.
- Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at scattered places of Malakand division, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from Monday (evening) to Saturday.
- Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places of Zhob, Sibbi, D.G.Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal divisions during Tuesday (evening) to Thursday.
