Wedding Colour Bomb Malfunction Leaves Bride Injured

An Indian-origin couple, Vicky and Pia, faced a frightening accident during their wedding photoshoot in India when a wedding colour bomb malfunctioned. The couple, who travelled from Canada for their wedding, had planned a colourful shoot using a colour bomb. However, upon its malfunction, it hit the bride directly and caused burns to her back and hair.

The accident took place between their wedding ceremony and reception. A viral video, shared by the couple on Instagram, captured the moment of the explosion. In the footage, the groom is seen lifting the bride when the colour bomb suddenly misfires, striking her instead of creating the intended visual effect.

The couple explained the incident in their Instagram caption: โ€œOur plan was to create a beautiful backdrop with vibrant colour explosions. But the device malfunctioned and exploded directly on us. We were even planning to include our baby in the photo.โ€

The bride was taken to a nearby hospital, where she received treatment for her burns. Despite the unfortunate event, she managed to attend the wedding reception after medical care.

The Instagram post has gained over 22 million views, attracting support and concern from social media users. Many expressed sympathy for the bride, while others criticised the use of such explosive devices in wedding celebrations.

The couple also used their platform to spread awareness, stating, โ€œThis post is to raise awareness about the dangers of using colour bombs and similar explosive devices. We followed all safety protocols, yet something went wrong. Whether or not you believe in the evil eye, we certainly do now!โ€
