WhatsApp might be considering to increase its minimum user age-limit to 16 for their services.
As per the current policy, the minimum age is 13, however, the company is considering to impose strict rules to keep the younger users safe on social media.

Although the news has not officially been verified, keeping the new data privacy rules in European Union, which is to be introduced next month, we may see this implementation soon.
According to a recent report in January, WhatsApp crossed the 1.5 billion users milestone. Being founded in 2009, the service has become popular across the world and is one of the most used applications followed by Facebook and Messenger.
RS News has shared that WhatsApp has also announced to provide users with access to download a report in detail of the data it holds on them—such as the make and model of the smartphone they use, their groups and contacts and details regarding any blocked numbers.
