Pace bowler Naseem Shah was the highlight of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9’s trade window, ultimately signing up for Islamabad United from Quetta Gladiators. However, there are question marks over his fitness.

As PSL 9 is around the corner, Naseem Shah’s road to recovery has become a focal point, with the fans wondering if he will be in action this season.

The 20-year-old pace sensation suffered a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup, which sidelined him from action for the past four months. Hasan Ali replaced him in Pakistan’s squad for the ICC World Cup 2023.

The franchise shared a positive fitness update on their official X account, emphasising Shah’s regularity in bowling sessions and highlighting encouraging strides in his recovery journey.

Recently, chief Selector Wahab Riaz also provided an optimistic insight into Shah’s rehabilitation, assuring fans that the talented pacer is on track for a complete recovery ahead of PSL 9.

“Naseem Shah will be completely fit till PSL,” Riaz confidently affirmed during a media interaction. “I have met with Naseem, and his rehabilitation program is going very well.”

The anticipation for the upcoming PSL season nine continues to mount, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars set to kick off their title defense.

As the tournament draws near, all eyes are on Naseem Shah’s progress, raising hopes for his imminent return to the cricketing arena.
